My sincerest condolences to Alzira's family and loved ones. Alzira and I worked together in the same office for many years. We shared many good times and many conversations over the years. It was obvious she was a devoted wife and mother. She was so happy to tell me when she became a grandmother.
To her husband and daughter, although I know it is difficult now, in time may you find some comfort in all the wonderful memories you have with your wife and mom. May you find strength in knowing that there are many friends and family sending you our loving thoughts and support. Her legacy lives on in you and her beautiful grandson; it lives on in all those who remember her and in the lives she touched. She will be remembered.
Deepest condolences,
Livia Wong

I am very saddened by this news. I worked at the Ministry of Labour with Alzira. We were never fortunate enough to meet in person as we worked in separate offices but all of our conversations over the phone were lovely. Alzira was so approachable and kind when we chatted. She was always more than willing to help and patient with my endless questions. She was very passionate about her work and will be gravely missed.
My deepest condolences for the loss of your loved one.

Alzira provided energy to her work team and colleagues at the ministry. She took such pride in the work that she did and positive impact it had on the public. On more personal level, she was also kind enough to share her arts and crafts talents with me (which was so generous). She will be missed. My sincere sympathies and condolences to her family and loved ones.

This is such devastating news. It wasn't too long ago that she expressed she was going to be a grandma, and welcomed her first grandson that brought so much joy into her life. It was the first time I saw how happy and loved her family made her feel. Although she was private, she shared with me some of her artistic pieces that she had created at home and her love of creativity. I wish the kind words expressed are not too late and her daughter reads them to know truly how much her mom was loved and appreciated. Alzira left a lasting impression on countless people and changed them for the better. To her husband and daughter, I hope the love and support from family and friends bring you comfort during this difficult time.
RIP my friend. May You Find Eternal Peace.

I had the great fortune of occasionally working with Alzira at the ministry. Although our contact wasn't frequent or prolonged, she left an impression on me. I remember Alzira as so friendly and kind, even when there was great time pressure or when the business itself was unpleasant; our interactions were a comfort to me in those times. I was extremely saddened by the news of Alzira's passing and offer my heartfelt condolences to her loved ones.

My condolences to Alriza's family. My connection to Alzira was through our employer; we worked for the same division at the Ministry of Labour. Since we worked in different cities I never actually met her in person, but I knew who she was. Like many employment standards officers I needed her help to troubleshoot and coordinate important orders and payments, which is a crucial part of our work. Her responses were prompt, professional, and kind, expressing a delicate humour that was immediately endearing. I knew right away this was a warmhearted person, and I lived hundreds of kilometers away; that's quite a feat after just responding to my emails!
I am sad to hear of her passing, and I wanted to express to her family that she was and will always be considered very special.
Sincerely,
Hector Almendrades

Q: What will you never forget about Mrs. Alzira?
A: I have worked at the Ministry of Labour for 35 years, and I remember Alzira fondly, from my first dealings with her. at head office. I always thought she was so knowledgeable and helpful. She was always patient and kind, and willing to explain or help out. When I was travelling to Toronto to work for 10 years, Alzira was always a source of comfort for me while working away from home. I made a point of going to her desk to say hello for the week and good-bye at the end of the week.
When I was diagnosed with breast cancer, Alzira was a support from afar, and we often shared a prayer together. She always called me Princess.
When she was the featured exhibit at the EPB "Disco Ball Gallery" we stayed a little longer and she described every picture like it was part of the Bible and I knew every story and found it so fascinated and was jealous that she was able to experience such an amazing trip.
Alzira never got mad and always spread such love and kindness to others. I just wish I had called or written her more often, which we often did after I stopped travelling to Toronto. We would just chat about everything and anything. Her love will live on in many of our hearts, I know she has a special place in mine.
Rest in true eternal peace my friend, I'll see and talk to you in my prayers.
Princess Di

My deepest condolences to the Pereira family. I had the pleasure of working with this special lady for 15 years! Alzira had a heart of gold and was the kindest person with a lovely sense of humor that I got to enjoy as she made me laugh many times over the years, it always made my day, and I cherished working with her. She was truly devoted to her faith and loved her family so much and was so very caring. She always had a treat for you if you were having a bad day and would always share her snacks and a quick joke to make you laugh and feel better. She was a very special lady and her light went out to soon but it will shine forever through her family and friends!!
I will truly miss her, but I will never forget her in my heart and memories!
My deepest condolences!
Sincerely,
Kathleen Barry
