Obituary of Mrs. June Yasmin Bunbury

June Yasmin Bunbury, passed away peacefully on November 12, 2024 at her home in North York, Ontario. She was 71. Born in Oranjestad, Aruba, where her father worked at the time, the family returned to their native Guyana when June was still very young.

June was known for her independent spirit, deep love for her family and was admired for her intelligence, loyalty and strength. June will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Calvin, and beloved children, Sheena (Rajiv Debideen) and Kyle (Eleanora Liang). She is predeceased by her brother Maurice and is survived by brothers Winston, Frank, Clifton and Donald, and sisters Jacqueline and Michelle.

Among June’s proudest achievements was raising her two children, whom she held as her pride and joy. She served many years in the accounting field and later transitioned to human resources after earning a diploma from Seneca College. 

Amid the challenges life brought her way, June never wavered in her faith in God and love for her husband and children. She continued to support them, extending a helping hand and words of wisdom, whenever needed. Her memory will continue to live on and inspire strength, resilience, and generosity in those whose lives she touched. June’s passing is deeply felt by her large extended family, and all those who knew and loved her.

On Saturday, November 23, 2024, friends and loved ones are invited to join us at Ogden Funeral Homes (4164 Sheppard Ave. East, Scarborough, ON). Visitation will be held from 11:00 am -1:00 pm ET, directly followed by a funeral service from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm ET. Interment to follow at Highland Memory Gardens (33 Memory Gardens Lane, Willowdale, ON). Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society are encouraged and appreciated.
