My thoughts and prayers are with all of you Alison, David, Joshua, James, Connor, Gloria, Alberto and the entire family. Olivia was a treasured friend of my mom’s (Bridget Ida De Souza). She held a special place for my family. She brought such comfort to me with the passing of my parents. I enjoyed our many conversations and will miss her very much. Aunty Olivia was a special person and she never stopped moving. She was always busy.
We often shared long phone conversations and she often had lovely things to say about her family.
We were often at each other's homes when we lived in Don Mills.

We are one with you on the loss of your beloved Mother.
Aunty Olivia was the greatest host and would always invite me to stay on my school holidays. She told me the best stories and guided me when I was learning to bake. I still make her pistachio cake and have passed that recipe on to Alanna. I also still have Aunty Olivia’s hand written recipe from 35 years ago for Baath, though mine never turned out as good as hers.
Aunty Olivia was a great listener and gave sound advice. I loved her subtle sense of humour.
Aunty Olivia always made a point of calling me just to chat and never missed a birthday. I will really miss having her around and am grateful for the times we spent together. She is one of those people in your life that leave their mark on you and my memories of her will be treasured.

Am shocked to learn of the passing of my dear friend Olivia. We worked together at Agricultural Finance Corporation in Nairobi, Kenya. Not too long ago I spoke to her. We always had interesting long conversations remembering the good days we had in Nairobi and exchanging stories of our grandkids. She was a kind individual and had great faith in God. I knew Olivia only in our last year at school in Nairobi, when we chanced to sit together for Maths. She was brilliant at it, and understood difficult concepts in Trigonometry that made no sense to me.
I remember Olivia as being really kind, and patiently trying to explain some of these to me. I am sure I owe my eventual exam success in Maths at least partly to Olivia.
She was quiet and unassuming, and I am sorry we lost contact after we left school. She was a lovely person.
