My condolences to Arthur's family. He lived across the hall from my father, Hubert Ryan, at Shepherd Terrace. My father found it difficult to adjust to his new home and Arthur made it a lttle easier. He would often check in to see how my father was doing. They were also table mates in the dining room.

Uncle Arthur "Sorry" - From when I was a young boy to a married man with kids, my first words to my Godfather would be "Sorry". Uncle Arthur was a lovely Godfather. Always cheerful, the fun one, the happy one and the caring one. For my 21st I still remember him surprising me dressed up as an Arabian Prince. Your with your loving Princess now Aunty Palmeria and both are happy together again. We will all miss you. Love Rodney, Elaine and Brandon.

Dear Ashley & Jennifer,
I am saddened by the news of Arthur’s passing. I have very fond memories of Arthur when Joe and I married in Nakuru. Arthur was caring and kind. He would always enquire about Joe’s health.

Dearest Ashley and Jenny,
Our Sincere condolences on the loss of your beloved father “King Arthur” .
We will miss his infectious smile, exceptional humor, his pranks and at this time of the year his memorable and unique “King Arthur” Christmas greetings.
We are comforted knowing he will be with his cherished wife Palmira.
From my early teen years in Kenya I will never forget his amazing driving skills … 1960? After Peter Soares wedding in Eldoret we were returning to Nakuru driving on a dirt “murram” road …I was in Euloge’s car a Vauxhall Velox he was driving at over a 100 mph to prevent the car behind us from passing we were churning up an unbelieveable inpenetrable wall of dust behind us, there were no seat belts and I could barely stay seated as the unstable car drifted from side to side… as I Iooked behind …for a few fractions of a second the dust cleared up, behind us was the Peugeot 403 driven by our notorious cousin Alexcino Soares (his car full of screaming terrified men) trying to pass Euloge … when we finally made it to a paved surface Euloge eased up to let Alexicino pass … a split second later Arthur passed both our cars … I was dumfounded, if we were driving so fast … how fast was your dad driving?
May God grant him Eternal Rest Amen.

Too many great memories over 65 years beginning in Nakuru. Arthur became a friend of my family when I was 14, and his kindness to us will always be remembered. He was at my dad's bedside when he passed. Palmira was a close childhood friend. As a couple since immigrating to Toronto, our families enjoyed many outings together. Thank you for the memories Arthur and Palmira. May their souls now united in Heaven, rest in peace.

Authur was the elder brother of my brother in law Nelson whose wife Lumina was my late wife Lira eldest sister
Authur was a respectable and a loving friend He was very easy to approach and had a loving smile and had a great sense on humour.
We both came from the island of Zanzibar and studied at Saint Josephs Convent.His departure will create a void not only to his family and his loved ones but to all his friends who knew as a kind and gentle person
