Sharon and Kline were always a joy to see at our church in Port Mouton when they visited Kline's parents. I have many memories of "after church chats" with them. Hugs to you all. - Donna Denison

It is with much sadness that we heard of Sharon’s passing. We moved in to our home on Pebblehill Square in October 1979. The first people who came to our door to welcome us to the neighborhood were Sharon and Kline. They invited us to their annual Carole sing that year and the rest is history. When our son Jeremy came along she was always right across the street if we needed her. We were eventually transferred to the Chicago area and spent our last night in the area with her and Kline. Her hospitality and kindness were always in abundance. To Kline, Heather, Mark and their families we extend our most sincere sympathy. She truly was a very special person.

Q: What will you miss most about Mrs. Sharon?
A: When my brother and myself moved to Toronto ahead of the rest of our family many years ago, Sharon opened her home to the two of us with open arms. She was kind, generous and supportive. We will miss you. You are now with passed family and now look over us all with Robin and Pam.

We will always remember the kindness and hospitality of Sharon (and Kline) no matter when or where we got together. We visited Sharon and Kline a few times in Naples, their annual winter destination. Each visit, we were whisked off to their favourite restaurants and tourist places. All were fun memories, that we are thankful that we have. We will miss the lovely cards and long letters from Sharon and the thoughtful phone calls. Always keeping in touch to see how we are doing. We will definitely miss Sharon and the love given, in our lives. May she rest in peace.

One can move into the best house into the best neighbourhood but if the neighbours are not “neighbourly” then none of that matters!
We moved next door to Sharon and Kline in 1998. Over the years we built the perfect neighbourly relationship—not too much and not too little—the perfect Goldilocks effect as they say.
We looked out for each other (mail, checked the house, watered the plants etc.) and occasionally went out for dinner.
Our relationship was based on mutual care and respect.
We had the best conversations over the garden fence and on the front yard.
We remember Sharon’s resonant voice, her readiness to laugh at a drop of a hat and her eternal joy in all the wonderful things that life had to offer.
Sharon’s strength and optimism came through even in the hardest times.
We feel so fortunate to have known Sharon all these years and will miss her terribly.
Our prayers go out to Kline, Heather, Mark and the rest of the family.

The Hollands are special best friends. Over 52 years, we have many memories of the Hollands. Here are four of them.
1. Gail and Sharon are like sisters. They met regularly at a bench on the boardwalk on a special bench at Kew Gardens to discuss the world’s problems.
2. Ralph often visited Toronto on business after moving to Georgia. He had a bad habit (on purpose) of arriving at the front door unannounced. Obviously, Sharon would be surprised, but she would say I was welcome to stay for dinner if I would take pot luck. This was no hardship as Sharon was a good cook. When Kline arrived, he would say, Oh, is he here again?
3. We often visited them in their Naples condo. One extremely frigid evening, we sat under heavy blankets on the Gulf of Mexico watching the sunset. A nice gentleman took a photo to capture the experience.
4. The Hollands attended the weddings of our daughters in Roswell, Ga. And mixed in well with our Georgia friends.
We will miss Sharon deeply. People often forget the caregiver. We intend to keep in touch with Kline in the future. We wish we could be at the service.
Your special friends

We share in the loss of our dear friend Sharon. We enjoyed many hours around the pool in Naples with Sharon & Kline. Sharon always had a ready smile and a fun sense of humor and was a good friend to all. She offered many words of kindness and encouragement as she remembered special needs of her friends. I enjoyed going with her to the annual Naples quilt show, and we both had a lot of fun going out to dinner with Kline and Sharon. She will be missed, but not forgotten. May God bless Kline and her family with all the best memories. Love, Larry and Kathie Perkins.

What a loss. Sharon was a special type of person who could make you feel her warmth, her character her friendship.
I remember the many Pebblehill carol sings, Lynne and I were adopted into the Pebblehill friends. I remember the trip through the Rockies. Sharon always had a knack of making you feel at home and more importantly special, and yes and at times she could have an impy sense of humour.
Over the years our lives took us in different directions. Our loss.
Kline and Sharon have always had a special place in my mind and heart.
Kline after 59 years will have a hole in his life. I feel his loss. I trust that Mark and Heather, their spouses and grand children will help fill the void. I know that they also feel the loss of their Mom, and Grandmother.
In my thoughts and prayers.
Sharon watch over us and take care of us from heaven.
Love

Gord and I moved to Pebblehill with our sons in 1971.
A neighbour started Newcomers and several of us joined.
One group was crafts and that was where I met Sharon. Sharon could put anything together especially the whole wedding party. Lots of sleepless nights as they had to be perfect.
We got involved making ceramics and also making chocolate. We did a lot of sampling.
Kline and Sharon hosted the Carol sing for many years and we all really looked forward to that.
I was invited to Falling Waters in Florida when I was on my own and Sharon and Kline made me very welcome. Sharon and I enjoyed the pool, dining out and shopping at Bealls. We got a kick out of the bill showing you how much you saved!!
I am missing her more than words can say.

Sharon was my very first friend on Pebblehill Sqaure when we moved onto the street in March ,1972. All through the following winter, she was my "go-to" friend when I was home for the first time with our new baby girl, Alison. Her words of wisdom in caring for a new baby and the camaraderie she shared got me through those long, cold days. For many years after, we shared many cups of tea and a lot of her down East baking. My recipe box contains many of those delicious recipes. Sharon was the one I called late on a Saturday night to stay with Alison while I went to the hospital to deliver Cara. It is no coincidence that she was the one I called to make both the girls' prom dresses many years later as her skill as a seamstress was unmatched.
One of the highlights of living on Pebblehill were the parties we enjoyed as a neighbourhood, and the one that stands out among the best was the annual Carol Sing that she and Kline hosted for 30 years. What jolly fun we had! Even after we moved to Unionville in 1984, we continued with the Carol Sing, and although I didn't see as much of Sharon, we still kept our friendship alive through meeting for birthday lunches, Valentine pizza and bowling nights, and Christmas tea and cookies.
Friendships that endure over 50 years are true friendships, indeed! It has been my honour and privilege to call Sharon friend, and I will never forget her kind, caring, giving and thoughtful ways.
My deepest sympathy goes out to Heather and Mark as losing your mother is one of the hardest things a child can endure.
To you, Kline, your dedication to Sharon over the years, and especially in this past one, has been truly commendable. There will be a big hole in your days and your life. Reach out to your friends for strength and know that Gary and I will be there for you if you need us.
Longtime friends, Jan and Gary Bartlett

My husband and I had the great pleasure of travelling to convention with Kline and Sharon on many occasion. The boys went off to various seminars while Sharon & I shopped, lunched or enjoyed a cocktail or two. Sharon was the eternal optimist, her glass was always half full. She was joyful, funny, smart, creative and very intuitive. She was definitely a force to be reckoned with and she will be missed greatly. Rest in peace my friend. #braintumourfoundationofcanada
