Beloved mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, great-aunt and sister in Christ: Marie Mélina Arthur Merci, passed away on August 6, 2024. Born on November 11, 1931, in St-Marc, Haiti, Mélina lived for 93 beautiful years and impacted numerous lives. Becoming a widower at a young age, God gave her the strength to not only raise her children but her grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well in Canada and in the United States. She is survived by her 6 children: Liliane, Willy, Englade, Monique, Angeline and Ermithe,; 16 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends, and our dearest Mélina, lovingly known as “Méli”, will remain forever in our hearts. Mélina’s celebration of life will take place at Bayfair Baptist Church, located at 817 Kingston Rd, Pickering, Ontario, L1V 1A9. The viewing will be held from 9:00am-9:55am and the funeral service will begin at 10:00am.
2 Timothy 4:7-8 “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing”.
