Deepest condolences to Fr. Fred's family and friends. I have known Fr. Fred for all the 22 years at St. Bartholomew. As a pastor he gave freedom to expression, sharing of ideas and ability to work together as a church community. He was with us on our Trip to the Holy Land in Nov.1999 and had a lot of history to share with the group.
He will be remembered for his passion for knowledge as he shared many books in the library at the church, was instrumental in supporting the plans for the bringing Iraqi and Syrian Christians to Canada, supported the "Dining with the Saints" event every year to raise money for a church hall, engaged with the people at church and everyone was treated with respect and was welcomed. God Bless Fr. Fred and may he Rest in Eternal Peace. "Thank you for your life long service to the Lord."

May the Lord welcome Reverend Frederick Foley into His loving arms. As he entered our lives in Mississauga at St. Joseph and continued to guide us at St. Bartholomew, his faith and kindness never wavered. His blessings on our wedding, our son's Baptism and First Communion endeared him forever in our hearts. His memory was remarkable, his understanding deep, sharing profound wisdom with each interaction. Now free of pain, may he find eternal peace in God's kingdom.

I extend my deepest sympathy for the family and friends of Fr. Fred Foley. Fr. Fred was a good friend to my Gr. 2 classes at St. Joseph Elementary. He welcomed the students at the church as well as came to the school for visits. We went over to visit the church several times throughout the year and Fr. Fred would always make time for my classes. He would talk to them about Jesus, the Mass & the Sacraments, the Saints, the Church and/or say a decade of the Rosary. The children especially liked when we would bring our wagon with our lunches and have a picnic after a church visit. Fr. Fred would join us leading us in Grace Before Meals and share a meal. As Gr. 2 was their First Eucharist year the children were enriched by Fr. Fred’s teaching. The students were able to feel comfortable at church and develop a relationship with Jesus as a friend. Fr. Fred was a good shepherd for the children and the community. I know Fr. Fred now has Christ’s promise and reward in Heaven. We all are richer for having known Fr. Fred as our priest and a friend.

I knew Fr. Foley when he was pastor at St. Joseph's parish in Streetsville.
I distinctly remember the time, in one of his sermons, where he mentioned the recent passing of his mother.
He would order roses on Mother's Day and one rose was given to each mother in the parish on Mother's Day. Such a kind gesture.

In the soft hush of remembrance, we recall the tenderness with which Reverend Frederick lived and served. He was an emblem of warmth to us students at St. Bartholomew; always a beacon, radiating love and compassion. His faith permeated through our young lives, marked by shared greetings and costly pens laden with teachings. His preaching echoed—and still echoes—beyond walls, resonating with countless hearts. While deeply missed, his legacy endures vibrantly in those he touched; a testament to his extraordinary life of service.
