I met Joseph a number of years ago at the Champlain Mall in Brossard, QC. where a number of friends
would meet each morning, some of whom were members of the Walkers Club, some not. We would sit
with our coffee/tea in hand, discuss the world's problems, particularly those of Quebec, tell jokes, kid each
other, all with laughter. I could not help but like Joseph from the beginning; we just connected... the word
like-mindedness comes to mind. When he moved to Waterloo, his absence was truly felt by all of us.
To his family, we extend our deepest condolences at this difficult time. RIP Joseph.

It is with great regret that we were notified about the loss of our family friend fondly called as CYRIL that we knew over 40 years in Montreal.
First of all, our sincere sympathies to his loving wife Jane and his children Keshani, Danistan and Angela. My wife Yoga joining me in conveying our heartfelt and sincere sorrow to his beloved families at this great loss.
Just a little touch of his social involvements and activities as past history that we knew about him since our arrival in Canada in 1982.
He was quite well associated and involved in our volunteer’s group who helped the needy fellow Tamils during the influx of refugees then in the early 80s where there were not many Tamil associations but French organizations who had helped in many critical situations. He participated with us very well and contributed his valuable time in a challenging hardest time for those needy people then in the early 80s.
He participated in our Ottawa march and visiting the Parliament for the displaced Tamil people and later he served as a member of the Eelam Tamil Association – ETA. During the tenure of his time, he later served as the Vice President as well in the 90s.
Regardless of opinions or faiths he was also got involved in our Hindu Religious congregation then at 955 Bellechasse Ave and later at our Montreal Thirumurugan Temple in Dollard des Ormeaux administered by the registered organization known as Saiva Mission of Quebec.
He was very instrumental in our first Temple for Phase I then in the early 90s and helped us with doing the technical drawings for construction.
Later he also contributed his valuable time when we built the current ornate traditional Temple for Phase II with professional artisans from India then early 20s. He had volunteered and supervised the whole construction phase until completion on behalf of our Saiva Mission of Quebec.
He and his wife had participated in many religious functions and annual festivities of our Temple in Montreal, Val Morin and later at our current permanent site in Dollard des Ormeaux - DDO in Quebec.
Even after moving to Waterloo, he was in communication with us and lastly my wife and I met Cyril and his wife Jane at his Waterloo residence and spent good family time with good old memories over a lunch that cannot be forgotten from our recent memories.
All the above are from our old memories of his good deeds as treasured in our keepsake with virtual photos. “A memory is a photograph taken by the heart to make a special moment last forever”
We are quite certain that Lord will take him and keep his soul to rest in peace in Heaven and we prey his soul to rest in peace for eternal Life in Lord’s Kingdom.
Heartfelt tribute to him with consolation of his good deeds to his families.
We remain as a Family friend.

Very sad to hear this news. I have only fond memories of the family get togethers growing up and how warm and welcoming he always was. I know my parents always spoke fondly of him as well when they were alive.
Condolences to the family and may he rest in peace.
