Obituary of Mr. Atputharajah Amirthanayagam

Atputharajah (Raj) Amirthanayagam, 83, of Toronto, Canada passed away peacefully on February 26, 2024 surrounded by his family.  Born on November 29, 1940 in Tellippallai, Sri Lanka to Bastiampillai and Grace Amirthanayagam, Raj grew up with four loving sisters Gnanamalar, Ranjithamalar, Thayalam, and Samathanamalar.  He emigrated to Canada in the 1970s where he started a family with his wife Wijayalakshmi (Manikkam) and together they had a daughter, Ann Amirthini who is married to Navin Neeraj Kanagasooriam.  Raj adored his two grandchildren Rahmanan and Ramani and was a big part of their lives.   Raj will be dearly missed by his family and all the people whose lives he has touched.
