Sharon Alison Wray
October 7th, 1966 - February 2nd, 2024
Our family is heartbroken to announce the death of our darling Sharon Alison Wray. She passed
away peacefully at the age of 57, surrounded by her family. Her death comes as a great shock
and a deep wound, and is gravely felt by our entire family and countless others who loved her
deeply. She will be dearly missed and will always hold a place in our hearts.
Sharon is survived by her husband Andy Wray, her mother Teresa Campbell Singer and
Step-father James Singer, and her brother Mark Campbell. Forever remembered by her nieces
and nephew Shamayne Adams and her husband Paul Cheung, Joshua Adams and Breanna
Campbell. She is also loved and forever remembered by her great-niece and great-nephews
Andrea Adams-Gonzalez, Noah Cheung and Ethan Cheung. Sharon was predeceased by her sister Dawn Andrea Adams and her father Vivian "Kelly" Hugh Campbell.
Sharon, the middle child of three children was born on October 7th, 1966 to Teresa and Kelly
Campbell at Georgetown Hospital in Demerara, Guyana. She grew up in Georgetown, Guyana.
She later migrated to Canada in 1990 becoming a Canadian Citizen in March 2006.
In 2005, at the age of 37 Sharon was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) an autoimmune
inflammatory illness that affects the central nervous system (CNS) when the body's immune
system attacks its tissues. It is characterized by demyelination and varying degrees of axonal
loss. Although MS may have slowed her down at times, Sharon did not let it stop her from
doing and enjoying the things she loved.
Sharon's unwavering love for her family was without question. She was an avid reader of all and
anything True Crime and enjoyed watching her favorite true crime television series. Among
many of her incredible abilities, she was a fantastic cook and was known as the baker of the
family by everyone who knew her. She had a passion for baking and cherished seeing her
friends and family enjoy her delicious treats at countless family milestones and celebrations.
She had incredible talents in the kitchen and what she made was legendary, especially her
patties, pine tarts and eclairs. Sharon definitely was a skilled artist in the kitchen, and her
culinary masterpieces will be truly missed.
Sharon was a beautiful person inside and out. Her smile was so stunning it could light up the
whole room. She cared so deeply for the people around her, especially her family - and if you
knew her, you knew it. We love you always and forever Sharon. Until we meet again.
Our family deeply appreciates your support during this difficult time and asks that in lieu of
flowers you make donations to the MS Society of Canada in memory of Sharon.
As a tribute to our darling Sharon who was always wearing the most beautiful colorful outfits.
Our family would like to encourage others to wear bright colours as we bid her our final goodbye.
