Fondly known as Perri Aunty, her visits to Sri Lanka and India with Edward Uncle were more frequent than anyone else from Canada. The love and kindness she showered upon us, accompanied by chocolates and gifts are etched in our memories. I recall my mother joyfully sharing how Perri Aunty would bring newly stitched clothes back in those days just for her and her sisters.
One aspect I've always admired about Aunty is her unwavering commitment to wearing a saree. Amid changing times, she remained steadfast, a testament to her personality and strength. Her legacy of kindness and resilience will serve as an everlasting inspiration. Rest peacefully, dear aunty ; your profound love and presence are deeply felt and sorely missed.
