In Loving Memory of Anna Yee-Ching (Chong Choy Tai)

Anna Yee-Ching, gracefully departed on December 2, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of love and warmth that profoundly touched the hearts of those fortunate enough to know her. Anna was a devoted mother to Christopher-deceased(Yuklin), Foster (Rosemarie), Phillip (Victoria), Irene Angela (Shamtoo), Ena Ann Marie (Richard), Carmen-deceased(Robert), and Patricia Ann (Carlos).

Grandchildren : Bryan (deceased), Jeffrey, Bruce, Jeremy, Michelle, Stephen, Jason, Gehung (Winnie), Justin, Brent (Stephanie), Alicia (Mark), Melinda, Nicole (Ellis), Nigel, Chris.

Great Grandchildren: Han, Jamie, Luke

Born on February 4, 1926, in the Village of Chukyentiew Ngorloong, Dongguan, Guangdong Province, China, Anna was the cherished child of Lau Cheung Ching and Chee Shie.

In 1947, fate led her to marry Edward (deceased) in Hong Kong, and together they embraced the chance to start a new chapter abroad. Settling in Trinidad W.I. at the corner of Lachoos and Rock Road in Penal, Anna's indomitable spirit, discipline, and commitment to the family business allowed for the upbringing of her children. Eventually, this dedication led to the family's relocation to Canada in the early 1970’s.

Anna loved all her children, fifteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren, her presence a constant joy at family gatherings, especially during the festive Christmas season.

Even in her nineties, Anna's sharp mind retained a wealth of memories, effortlessly recalling past events, and never forgetting a birthday. Her ability to vividly recount incidents left an indelible mark on those around her.

May Anna rest in eternal peace, her spirit continuing to inspire us to embrace the richness of our heritage, the warmth of human connection, and the enduring power of love.
