So sad to hear of Kay’s passing. I worked with Kay early in my CMHC career and I very much enjoyed Kay’s sense of humour and playful side. Kay was the one who guessed I had become engaged during my lunch break without me saying a thing ! I saw her socially on a few occasions with her husband Colin and remember a visit when my now 35 year old son was a baby ! Rest in peace, dear Kay!

Kay was a beautiful person, inside and out. Andy and I worked with Kay at CMHC and enjoyed a warm friendship over the years. Kay was always there to listen. She had a tremendous work ethic.
Kay was always so beautifully put together. She was strong, determined and elegant.
Kay was hardworking, dedicated and exquisite. She was ever so classy.
Rest in peace, beautiful lady. You will be missed.

Taking a look back on these photos of Kay over the years, you get a sense of her larger-than-life personality.
Born into a home of modest means, she loved to be surrounded by beautiful things as an adult. Colin would say that's why she married him! She kept up with the trendiest fashions and hairstyles. She loved and appreciated art - especially the French impressionists, and she took great care in decorating her home with her collection of artwork and treasures from all over the world.
Kay was a voracious reader of history; she always kept up on current events and was never afraid to voice her opinion - all with a wicked sense of humour! She could really command the room. This made her a popular dinner companion on the many cruises she took with Colin.
She was a doting mother, having a playful and close relationship with her only son Lance. The same holds true as she became a grandmother to Ethan and Cameron. We were a close-knit family of animal lovers, history buffs and travelers.
Sadly losing Lance in 2022 was an unexpected blow to the entire family. Kay’s health took a steady decline over the last year but her sense of humour remained intact - The tall tales got taller, but we were still entertained.
Goodnight dear Kay, Kathy, Nana - may you rest in peace, free from pain and heartache.
With love from Jane, Ethan and Cameron XOX

Hi, Colin, I'm so sorry to hear of Kathy's passing, oddly enough, it's almost three years to the day of Penny's passing too.
I hope you keep well and in good health.

I worked with Kay for a number of years at CMHC-Ontario Region. She was one of the most delightful and fun-loving people there.
I always enjoyed receiving her annual Christmas card after our respective retirements. It was a small way of keeping in touch with someone I really enjoyed.

We are sorry to hear about Kay's passing. We spent many happy times with Kay and Colin when the four of us used to dance at Norm Wilcox 's Round Dance Club. Kay had a wonderful sense of humour enriching any time spent with her.
Quite a few years ago we learned our nice, new next door neighbours were none other than Kay and Colin's family i.e. their son, daughter-in-law and two grandsons. So we got to see more of Kay and Colin when they were visiting the family. We will miss Kay and offer our sincere condolences to Colin and the rest of the family.
