In Loving Memory of Patrick Pinto

Patrick Pinto, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on September 20, 2023, at the age of 72, surrounded by his loving family at the Providence Health Centre in Scarborough, Ontario. Patrick's journey through life was marked by his unwavering spirit, enduring love, and an unbeatable will to live.

Born in 1951, Patrick embarked on a remarkable journey that touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him. He is survived by his devoted wife, Jane, his daughter Natasha and son-in-law Dev, his son Nick and daughter-in-law Ankita, and the lights of his life, his grandchildren Riya, Gabriel, Isabella, and Damian. Patrick's presence will forever be felt in the hearts of his brothers Joseph (Genefa), Vincent (Vivien), and in the fond memories of his late brother Anthony (Maggie). He will also be deeply missed by his sisters Rita (Gregory) and Sandra (Kenneth), along with his nieces and nephews.

Patrick was a true embodiment of joy and camaraderie. He had an uncanny ability to light up any room with his infectious laughter and charm, making him the life of every gathering. His sense of humor was legendary, and his welcoming nature endeared him to all who crossed his path. His magnetic personality drew people to him effortlessly, and he made lifelong friends wherever he ventured. Patrick's love for family and friends knew no bounds, and he relished every moment spent in their company.

Above all, Patrick was a devoted husband and an exceptional father. His unwavering love and support were the cornerstones of his family's strength. His greatest joy in life was spending quality time with his grandchildren, running and playing with them, building forts, and most recently letting them win chess games.

Professionally, Patrick enjoyed a fulfilling career as an engineer, where he not only excelled in his craft but also built enduring relationships with his colleagues. He was known for being handy and was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. His pursuit of perfection and pride in his workmanship were evident in everything he touched.

Patrick's resilience was truly inspiring. He faced and fought stage 4 lung cancer for an astonishing 7 years, defying medical expectations that he would only have 3-6 months to live. He did so with unshakable positivity, unwavering strength, boundless determination, and a deep faith in God.

Patrick Pinto's legacy is one of love, laughter, courage, and unwavering faith. He leaves behind a void that can never be filled but also a treasure trove of memories that will be cherished by all who knew him.

In honoring Patrick's memory, let us remember his zest for life, his infectious laughter, and his unwavering love for family and friends. As we bid farewell to this remarkable soul, may we draw inspiration from his enduring spirit to live life to the fullest, just as he did.

Patrick, you will forever be in our hearts, and your legacy will live on through the love and laughter you shared with us all. Rest in peace, dear Patrick.
