Obituary of Mr. David Shaw
David James Shaw passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on August 3, 2023, at the age of 55. Cherished husband to Lisa and proud loving father to Nathaniel. Predeceased by his father Wally and mother Joan.
David will be lovingly remembered by his PSS (personal support sister), Jennifer, who was at his side throughout, as well as his remaining siblings and in-laws along with their partners. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins, all his extended family, and friends. David made a huge impact in his business community and will be missed by all.
The family would like to extend our thanks to all doctors and medical professionals at the Princess Margaret and Markham Stouffville Hospitals.
Family will receive friends at the Ebenezer United Church, 5000 Steeles Avenue East, Markham, Ontario on Saturday, August 26th time to be determined. Interment will take place at Ebenezer United Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Princess Margaret Hospital or Markham Stouffville Hospital.
David rode in the first Ride to Conquer Cancer for Princess Margaret in 2008. His sister, Jennifer Barwell, will be participating in the 2024 ride in David’s honour.
