Dear Maureen and Vivien, We are so sorry for your loss. We had the pleasure of knowing your mother for the many decades we have enjoyed our friendship with the two of you. Ann was always a lively, bright spark and a delight to talk with whenever we had the chance to visit, whether at the cottage or at home in Agincourt. It was wonderful to see her take such pleasure in her garden and watch her green thumb at work. She had talent with both flowers and vegetables and we enjoyed the bounty many times over the years. She was well cared for by the two of you these past few years so you can be very proud of that. With all our love, Brenda & Josh xxx

I knew Ann from a distance as Mrs. Thompson,Maureen and I were classmates in Grade 3.High School and University gave me the opportunity to be involved with the senior Thompsons at their home. There are so many times that giggles and laughter were a huge part of the visit. I really can’t pick out one. Ann was mischievious in the loveliest way. She was forever tricking my husband into doing “ man’s work” for her at home or the cottage, then stuffing him with tea, biscuits or scones. She called him Mr. Mansfield, my maiden name! He too enjoyed her so much! Ann had great qualities, she was always busy and active and she used humour to make life better for all of us. We consider ourselves very fortunate to have known her!
