Obituary of Mrs. Sheila Campbell

On July 18, 2023 Sheila Jean Campbell, in her 84th year,  got her wings and went to walk with the angels.

 

She was born in St. Stephen, New Brunswick on October 29, 1939 to the late Elizabeth Patricia and Winfield Cornelius Hartford and was predeceased by her brother Henry Charles.

 

Sheila moved to Toronto to join her Mother in 1955. She worked at Bell Canada, Omers, Safety Supply Co., and eventually settled at the Toronto District School Board as a school secretary.

 

She married the late Douglas Campbell in 1973, enjoying 42 beautiful years together before his death in 2015.  She is survived by her loving daughter Natalie Chinaloy (Lance) of Courtice, ON and two grandchildren, Jennifer and Nicholas (Amy) who will all miss her dearly. She will also be missed by many friends including long time dear friends Joan Swartz,  Nancy Mastrangelo, Norma Lehm and nieces, nephews and cousins.

 

Sheila was a faithful member of the UCW of the Central United Church in Unionville.  She took great joy contributing to church activities and social events. She loved helping anyone in need and provided wonderful comfort to many and will be remembered for her kindness.

 

She had many artistic talents and enjoyed drawing, painting, calligraphy, Bunka and paper tole.

 

Visitation will be held at Ogden Funeral Home at 4164 Sheppard Ave. E. Toronto from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Monday, July 24, 2023.  Funeral Service to be held at Central United Church at 131 Main Street, Unionville on July 25, 2023 at 10:30 am, reception to follow.

 

In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Central United Church Unionville, would be appreciated by the family.
