To the family of my dear sister-friend Louise.
Please accept my deepest condolence on the loss of Sister Louise. She was a great daughter, an excellent sibling, a phenomenal mother and grandmother and a faithful friend. Most importantly, sister Louise was a servant of God and loved HIS church. In the 25 + years that we shared a friendship and sisterhood, I watched her grow in her Christian walk and demonstrate His love in all her relationships. I will truly miss my sister-friend but I will cherish the many moments we shared. May she rest in eternal peace.

Words could not express my sadness when Marla called me to let me know that Louise had passed away. My condolences to Marla, Blake, Cecil, Dottie and all other family members. You will be in my thoughts and prayers. I first met Louise in 1973 when I moved to Halifax to work at the tax department. For some strange reason she took me under her wing and spent the next five years showing me how to navigate the city. We had a lot of laughs as well as a few tears but Louise was always a very good friend. Even after I moved from Halifax we stayed in touch all these years. I will miss her letters and the opportunity to get together when she made her visits to Halifax. May you rest in peace, Louise.

My deepest condolences to the family. I was saddened to hear from Marla after a couple of years apart due to Covid of her mother's passing. Louise was always full of life and smiling and laughing every time I would visit. Always making me feel at home from the time I first met Marla at work over 30 years ago. I remember how put together she always was, not only beautiful on the outside but also on the inside. A kind soul. You will always be remembered.

Sis. Dottie and Family,
We extend our sincere condolences to all of you. Our hearts grieve this loss with you, though we rejoice in the truth of our faith that Louise has now transitioned into eternity with the Lord.
Sis. Dottie, you and Sis. Louise have been an extended part of our church family here in Halifax for so many years, as you traveled back to your roots often to visit with your late mother, our beloved May Sheppard. The deacons, officers, and congregation are praying for you as you adjust to life without Louise's physical presence.
Jesus reminded his followers in Matthew 5:4, "Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted." And the Spirit declares in Revelation 14:13, "Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on...they will rest from their labor, for their deeds will follow them.” Rejoice in knowing that Sis. Louise served well and is now at rest!

It is with a saddened heart yet very grateful to God, that I extend heartfelt condolences to you Louise’s loving family.
We here in her loving Creighton Street community knew her as Weezie. While growing up we said the two names always together Weezie n Dottie May. Two sisters who were so sharp and always together. Weezie and I really got close when she came to visit and take care of her loving Mom at Northwood. My Mom was there also. We’d talk, carry on with our mothers and with each other. It was just so good.
I looked forward to seeing her . And I had gotten close to you Dottie over the years as you stayed with me, and we were constantly on phone over the years. These kind of friendships mean a great deal! Louise was so grounded in her faith, her service to the Lord and Saviour of her life. She lovingly showed the love of God to all she came in contact with.
To you her children, oh how she loved you dearly. You her loving care giving daughter- Marla, God has blest you and He holds you up.
And now, You all take care of one another. You need one another.
May God bless you and grant to you the peace and comfort of the Holy Spirit.

Cousins are people that you connect with because your parents are related. Sometimes, if you’re lucky, you get to grow up with them. Other times you only connect at family events and may not see each other for long periods of time. But they are always family. Each time we get together, we have that commonality that allows us to share memories of our growing up. They are special. I’m so happy to have had Louise ‘Weezie’ in my life, even if only for a short time but I will always think of her with a smile on my face. Thank you Lord for easing her pain by calling her home.
