Obituary of Mrs. Joyce Adassa Deslandes
In Loving Memory of Joyce Deslandes
On Wednesday, May 24, Joyce Deslandes, loving wife and mother of seven children, passed away at age 84 at Michael Garron Hospital. Joyce is survived by her husband Terrence, children Cleveland, Melbourne, Leroy, Easton, Ewart and Christopher, 19 grand children and 11 great grand children. She will be dearly missed by family, friends and fellow followers of Christ.
A life long care giver and devoted Christian, Joyce took the Great Commission (Matthew 28:16-20) seriously and spent most of her life spreading the Word of God to anyone that would listen. She was a “true fisher of men” (Matthew 4:19) and made it her life’s purpose to win as many souls for the Lord as she could. She will be remembered for her powerful alto singing voice that was always singing His praises when not busy quoting scriptures.
Viewing for Joyce will take place on Thursday, June 8th from 5-8pm at Ogden Funeral Home (4164 Sheppard Ave. E., Scarborough). A second viewing will take place on Friday June 9th from 9-10 am at Brimley Pentecostal Worship Centre (151 Brimley Rd., Scarborough). Funeral service follows at Brimley Pentecostal Worship Centre Friday June 9th at 10am.
We will lay our beloved Joyce to rest in Mount Lawn Cemetery, 21 Garrard Road, Whitby.
