Obituary of Mrs. Shirley Arlene Lynch

It is with heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Shirley, at Lakeridge - Oshawa Hospital. She has joined her beloved husband Larry, of over 70 years (deceased 2018). Mourning her passing are her devoted daughters, Susan Trudeau (Jim) and Colleen Mackenzie (Steve). Loving grandma to Ryan, Shawna, Stephanie Paterson (Sean), Joanne Callaghan (Andy), Danielle and Kevin. Great-grandma to Zayden and Zoey. Remembered by sisters, Betty Gendron (Ron) and Carol Way (Mike); and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, Fred and Irene Killoran; and Margaret Killoran; her brothers, Fred and Malcolm (Theresa); and sister, Audrey Frey (Al). Shirley loved her position as school secretary at St. Timothy's and St. Victor's for 27 years.  Mom and Dad enjoyed wintering in Brownsville, Texas, for over 20 years. They loved dancing and cards. Mom was never too tired for a game of bridge.

Friends will be received at the Ogden Funeral Home, 4164 Sheppard Ave. E. (at Midland), on Friday, May 12, 2023, from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. A Funeral Mass will follow at Holy Spirit Catholic Church (3526 Sheppard Ave. E.), at 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations made to Covenant House would be appreciated.
