Missing you mom,
Mom, some moments and days are rough because I can’t see you, hear you or hug you. All I can do is hold on to the fond memories of you being such a loving, funny, faith-filled, adventurous, spirited, optimistic, intelligent and courageous mom that you were. I miss your advices when I need them. I miss your healing and comforting hands when I am sick. Love you mom!

Dearest mom,
I am missing you so terribly. I miss your smile, your laugh, your voice, your physical presence. Everything I do reminds me of you. I know you want us to be happy and not cry but this is so hard to do right now because I really miss you.
As I go back to work, I will miss you waving at me each morning by the bathroom window as I drive away and then when I get home when you used to say, “my daughter is home”.
We love you and dad very much. Thank you for always being the best mom. Please give me a sign that you are definitely with dad now and all our departed loved ones.
We celebrated your 90th birthday on Saturday as a celebration of your life. We hope it’s how you would have wanted to celebrate it. It was bittersweet because we wished you were there.
We will continue to pray for your eternal repose as we know you are constantly watching over us and praying for us.
You and dad are forever in our hearts.

I have so many fond memories with you lola. I may not have been the perfect grand daughter, but you were the epitome of a loving grandmother. I wish I had even half of your extensive vocabulary in order to describe you. But you were selfless, kind, silly, rambunctious, faithful, strong willed, and much more. Ate and I were so lucky growing up, because we were spoiled by your love and attention, since we were your only apos. But even then, you treated all of our friends like your own grandkids, and I’m so happy so many people also got to experience your love and presence.
I’ll miss your laugh and smile, and your singing and dancing, especially recently when I played the ukulele for you. I’ll miss you always sticking your hand out, asking me where your casino money is, and you looking out the little bathroom window at tita and ninong’s house to send us off. I’ll miss you still calling me your “pretty little girl”, even though I’m all grown up now. I’ll always hear your voice saying things in Ilocano like “pateltelan kan”, “nungnung”, or my favourite “tukininis”. There are so many moments I will cherish forever and hope to never forget.
I know you asked us not to cry, but we love you too much to not. So I hope you aren’t too upset about that. I’ll miss you very dearly, but I know you’re watching over me everyday with Dad, and all our other loved ones. I love you lola!! Thank you for being you and being the best lola ever. This is not goodbye— it’s “until we meet again”.

On this past Mother’s Day, we deeply missed your presence here on earth but take solace knowing you are in heaven with Dad and we have both of you now watching over us. Your spirit will continue to guide and inspire us everyday.

Thank you mommy Diony for accepting me unconditionally into your family and I’m so grateful for giving birth to this wonderful guy whom I call my husband and father of my 2 beautiful daughters.
I must admit my relationship with you was not a perfect one and would liken it to "champoy", the chinese candy, sweet, sour and salty. I was the typical daughter in law, ayaw paturo and you were the typical mom in law, meddlesome and knows it all. But through the years we have learned to accept each other and have developed a special bond and frienship. We would cry together when times are tough and laugh together in our happy moments. You became my mentor in life, my “kamaritess” and our "ATM" when times are hard and we need financial assistance.
Mommy, thank you for all the lessons in life you have shared, your unconditional love and support and for being just the wonderful person that you are. You will always be in our hearts.
