Joan will be missed by all of us who were privileged to know her at Shepherd Village. I appreciated her words of encouragement and humour. It didn't take long in a conversation to know that her family meant the world to her as did her relationship to Jesus. My prayers will be with you as you grieve together, while celebrating that Joan is "home with the Lord."

Terry, Sherry, and John – my sincere condolences in the recent loss of your mother. I first came to know Joan when our paths crossed at SGT and then later in life when we both worked at SVI. She was a woman of honesty and integrity and I often use her as an example of such. She was an interesting woman who didn’t hesitate in speaking her mind. My life was enriched by hers. She will be missed as she is honored. Stand proud in having a mother who truly loved and served her Lord and Saviour.

Terry, Sherry, and John: I love your family and have such wonderful memories of growing up together at SGT and beyond. And I am so honoured have known your mom for all these years...honoured to have loved her and been loved by her, to respect and look up to her, to always feel welcomed and accepted by her, and to enjoy that cheeky sense of humour! She had such an impact in my life. I am holding all of you up in love and prayer.
