Obituary of Mr. Arnold Chin

Arnold Leopold Chin (“Suhow”), 79, passed away peacefully on February 12, 2023 in Toronto, Ontario, surrounded by his family. 

Arnold is survived by his wife, Shirley; their son, Arnold Jr. (Charlie), their daughter Tricia, and her husband Mark; grandson, Jackson, and granddaughter, Taylor. 

Born to Henry and Amy (both Dec’d), on October 2, 1943, in Kingston, Jamaica, he is brother to Maurice (Dec’d), Ivan, Sheila (Moses), Sybil (Dec’d), Marjorie (Kitty), Sonia (Dec’d) and Edgar. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, a favourite uncle, a loyal friend, a mentor, an avid Blue Jays fan, an elder statesman holding court at the mall with his fellow retirees, a teller of jokes, a humble man, a good man.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Arnold’s name to the Scarborough Health Network (SHN) – Centenary Hospital.

The family wishes to send a special thank you to doctors and nursing staff at the SHN Centenary Hospital – Intensive Care Unit for their care and compassion.
