Uncle Arnold would always put a smile on your face either with a joke or story about Jamaica. He also loved to tell the story that he was the one that set up my parents and convinced my Dad (Horace Lue) to ask my mom (Jean Lue) out. My best memories is going to visit their house and listening to these stories while Aunty Shirley fed me amazing food. I will miss my talks with Uncle and sharing stories with him. I am sending my love to Aunty Shirley, Charlie, Trisha, Mark and rest of the family.
We love you all. God bless and we are always here for you.
Love
Lori

TRIBUTE TO ARNOLD CHIN BY ANTHONY LEE HING
My name is Anthony Lee Hing and I consider myself more than privileged to join with you all in paying well deserved tribute to my dear friend Arnold Chin as he journeys home to Our God and Redeemer, even as we grieve his passing.
Arnold Wore many hats with distinction and aplomb. He was an excellent and devoted husband to his wife Shirley, the love of his life, an outstanding father to his children, an exceptional grandfather, philanthropist, and a true and reliable friend.
Today, by his homegoing, celebration, we attest our love and affection for him as well as his indelible impact on our lives. In public and private remembrances since his passing, we are treated to but a glimpse of what a precious gift he has been to us.
Arnold and I were members of the Class of ‘59 at St. George’s College, Kingston, jamaica.
I later met his wonderful wife, had many wonderful conversations with them both, and was very happy to join them and some Old Boys at a STGC get together on June 29, 2019, at NIcey’s Restaurant, Toronto. It was a most memorable and happy occasion. Even at the dinner, they showed great and genuine love and affection for each other, a fact which I noticed on our many phone conversations.
Arnold had a razor sharp mind, with proven ability and intelligence, great wit and charm. He was very articulate but never overbearing or pompous. Engage him in an argument and you would be in for a very enlightened ad carefully crafted discourse. His ability and flexibility in dealing with diverse topics were but a few highlights of his outstanding life. He was assertive yet principled and always stood for what was right. He never knew any other way.
He was very kind and sympathetic to just causes, in particular education of very young children. in fact, he contributed, without even being asked, needed donations to a basic school in Banana Ground, Mandeville, Manchester, assisting thereby the development of young minds and the future of our home country.
Arnold had courage - much mor than many of us. When illness reared its head, it did not incapacitate him. It merely slowed him down a bit but not his intellect or spirit. He reminded the charming accessible helpful person as always; subject to the limitations imposed by his illness. He still tried to convey his love and affection and assistance to all his family and friends in any way that he could without seeing any sympathy. He bore his sickness and obvious suffering and discomfort with quiet dignity. His only concern was the hardship on his wife whom he loved so dearly and who never complained as she gave him the best care possible with such tender love.
Arnold was able to endure his suffering because he loved God. He showed us by his suffering that the way to deal with adversity was to let go and let God.
I am confident that his exemplary life will always be in our minds and hearts and help us shape our responses to life’s many challenges.
Arnold’s death has left us with a void, but his love for us and ours for him will fill that vacuum and will comfort us we wait out turn to join him in the next life. his imprint will surely last for all times.
I offer my sincerest condolences to all of us Arnold left behind, especially his wife Shirley, his children, his grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
may God be merciful to Arnold and grant his soul eternal rest.

I met Arnold as a young professional entering the work world at Grace Kennedy. The first thing that struck me was his passion and enthusiasm for his job. Arnold Chin was an area manager at Grace Kennedy when I joined the sales force. Although he was not my direct manager his influence was felt across the entire sales force. He was a kind, gentle and not prone to anger though he knew how to get the best out his staff. Rest well my friend and know that you are truly missed. Condolences to the family of Arnold Chin.

A true mentor who unselfishly shared the benefit of his vast experiences in sales and management with his team members. A manager who gained the respect of colleagues, customers and which allowed the formation of lifelong friendships. I learnt so much from Arnold Chin when he was my direct manager which has guided many of my decisions in my professional life. I will miss his friendship and wise counsel. Rest well my friend Arnold.

I remember the years 1998 to 2000 Leonard, David, Mark and I were putting together a firearm training module to optimize the performance of LEOs in Area 1 comprising St James, Hanover, Trelawny and Westmoreland. Daddy encouraged the venture by allowing Leonard time to assist and by donating items for refreshment. It was a resounding success. It was a selfless public service that garnered a level of professional and effective policing that is being missed at this juncture. Thanks to you Daddy Chin the people of Area 1 were that much safer and assured by enhanced police presence and performance.
