Obituary of Mr. Neville Godfrey

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Neville Patrick Godfrey, known lovingly as Dada. He passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on Saturday, Jan 21, 2023. 

Neville was known for his love of the outdoors, particularly camping and fishing. Even when home, he was frequently gardening, walking around the neighbourhood, or simply sitting in the yard enjoying the fresh air. His love of the outdoors extended to a love of animals which he shared with many pets, most recently family pet’s Rambo and Falco.

Neville was a devoted family man. He enjoyed spending time chatting and joking with his grandchildren. He always had advice to offer, and a story to tell about his time traveling for work, boxing on the railways, or about his life in India. He enjoyed sparring with anyone interested, most recently his three year old great grandson, Rhael. 

Neville is survived by his siblings Empsi, Ian, Keith, Claudette and Peter; his children, Florence, Patricia, Ernest, Claudette, and Deborah; his many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and close family members.

Neville’s enthusiasm for life, strength, kind heart and sense of humour will be greatly missed by all that knew him. 

Goodbye Dada, you were everyone’s grandfather and treated so many as your own,  we love you and miss you very much.
