Jahmar started with us in May 2022 and he was an instant hit with the teams he worked with. His physical presence reminded me a little bit of Biggie Smalls after he showed me a picture of him wearing a "Security" tuque securing the stage of a concert assignment he had. We both laughed at my remark.
First impression was that he was definitely a presence and one can see how he came to be in the security industry. However, if one was brave enough to get past the initial feelings of intimidation you found that he was very quiet-spoken, but confident, and very kind. He was certainly a competent and an experienced security professional that wasn't afraid to share his insight. He was dependable, he was humble, a gentle giant, and fiercely loyal. He was always on point regardless of how tired he was.
I think its important when someone passes to celebrate their life, reflect on them and how their life influenced ours. Regardless of the pain it sometimes causes, the pain eventually becomes bearable and you are left with the good memories of them that ultimately becomes their legacy. Jahmar's legacy is all the things I mentioned above. Since I've only known him for a short amount of time, I am sure there are more fond memories and experiences he leaves behind that add to his legacy.
My sincerest condolences to Jahmar's family and friends. He will truly be missed but never forgotten.
The photo was taken on January 10th at our Christmas Party. We all had a great time together.

It is never easy to lose someone that you love, and no words can ever adequately express what we want to say in times like these. I would like to extend my condolences and assure you that I will never cease to pray that the God of all comfort will bring comfort to your hearts at this time of grief and sorrow. It is easy to say, "to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord" and this is true but that doesn't stop the grief. However, we have the assurance that one day we will see Jahmar again as he rest in the arms of our saviour. I pray your strength and that God will lift you up in this time.
