Obituary of Rev. Dr. Michael Cornelius Reid
It is with great sadness that the family of Rev. Dr. Michael Cornelius Reid announces his passing on Thursday, December 22, 2022, at the age of 66.
Michael will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 39 years, Yvette; children, Judana (Ryan), Matthew (Katie) and David (Dominique); grandchildren, Kaleb, Eleara, Eriah and Ava; 10 foster children, his 13 surviving siblings and numerous other family members, friends and Church community.
Michael’s legacy was one of great honour and faith. He was a devoted man of God, husband, father and grandfather. He was devoted to his work in the ministry and spent much time supporting and working with the people of God, in any way he could. Michael went above and beyond to help those in need. He founded the Cathedral of Hope Ministry where he pastored, preached and counselled the congregation. Michael was a strong and compassionate man who devoted his life to preaching and glorifying God.
To celebrate his life, a viewing will be held on Friday, January 20, 2023, between 4:00 pm - 8:00 p.m., at Ogden Funeral Home, 4164 Sheppard Ave E, Scarborough, ON M1S-1T3. A Viewing (9:30 am - 10:30 am) & Funeral Service (10:30 am) will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2023, at Global Kingdom Ministries, 1250 Markham Road, Scarborough, ON M1H-2Y9.
An offering will be collected in benefit of the Cathedral of Hope Benevolent fund.
