I treasure my memories of Dr. Reid. Over the years from the time he was a student in my classes to the times I ministered for him at his church, I gained respect for him. My heart is saddened that he has graduated to his heavenly home at such an early age. He carried a peace and anointing that was a treasure to those who knew him. May God grace the family with His presence and comfort at this time.

Bishop Dr. Rev. Michael Ried was viewed by many as a leading statesman of the Christian faith. His character, breadth, scholarship, and social concern influenced community leaders and government officials, educators, and thousands who have listened to his sermons.
The most important fact of his life was Jesus Christ. It was rooted in a deep sense of reality about who Jesus Christ is—Lord of life and history.

Reverend Dr. Michael Reid was indeed a good soul and very religious, a man who lived a God-fearing life adhering to God's commandments. My memories of the hours of fellowship, fun and laughter will remain. I will hold on to the teachings that he has imparted while I continue on my own journey.
