I have fond memories of my eldest sister Norma-Jean. When she returned to Jamaica for the first time after migrating to Canada, I was so excited to see her. I was in awe of her, the stately way she carried herself, the way she spoke and the beautiful dresses she gave to me; this was a big deal for me as a teenager in the late 1960s.
In 1973 Norma-Jean hosted me in Canada while I was on vacation. She showed me a grand time as she took me sightseeing throughout Toronto. More recently in 2016, my sister Cynthia and I visited Norma-Jean and we shared heart-warming family-time together. These and other memories will remain with me forever, as will my sisterly love for her.
Rest in Peace my dear sister.
