A few years ago I helped Joan rework her small garden areas at her home. I gave her a few native plants to add to her garden. Joan is the only client I have ever had that was thrilled to see the rabbits eat her violets down to the ground. She enjoyed watching them nibble and was happy they visited and happy she could offer them some good food. The violets always grew back. It was difficult to make a quick stop at Joan's garden because I always knocked on her door to chat and she how she was. Joan was funny. She had a good sense of humour and we talked about so many things. It was so easy to talk to her and sometimes, much to my surprises, Joan called me at home usually to ask me a garden question but again a quick question and answer became a longer chat about anything and everything. It was always so pleasant. Gardens and a good chat with fun people makes for a good day. Rest in Peace Joan. Bless

Our sympathies on the loss of your Mom. She was always a kind person.
I remember a few years ago Christine and I came home after a labour day visit to BC, and found flowers waiting at our door. We looked at each other and said "Why?" It was our wedding anniversary, we'd forgotten, but your Mom remembered, and frequently reached out with a call or a card or in this case flowers.
Here are some pictures you may remember of a family gathering a long time ago, Aunt Joan with her brother Gord and sister Mary, her grandkids, you of course and her daughter in law, her niece Susan and husband George, Ashley and Adrian.
