Darshnanand was a very tender soul who took joy in being present to others when sick or dying. For many years he came to North York General Hospital to offer his presence and caring to others. For those of us who got to know him, we were blessed. I am very sorry to know he has left this earth and I will be forever grateful that I can say I knew him. Peace and blessings to his dear ones.

I am ever so grateful for having had more than forty years of friendship with Darsh. We first came to really know one another in the very early 1980's when he, Moffat Patel, T.R. Pillay and I found ourselves attending the same several-day training program in Sathya Sai Education within the precincts of Prasanthi Nilayam, Sai Baba's principle ashram. We were all blessed with Swami checking in on the proceedings, often more than once a day. Whenever Darsh and i had some opportunity to have a conversation thereafter he would always bring up those glorious days in Swami's presence. In doing so Darsh taught me that such good chances should not be taken for granted; they are a precious gift of the Divine. I will be grateful to Darsh for this lesson and for the privilege of having known such a great and humble man for much of my life.

Sending much love to the Darshnanand family. He has always been a stable presence and one of love & light to the family and also even though he had a good & long life - it seems a tab bit dimmer knowing he is no longer with us here on Earth.
Knowing that he is forever in our minds, hearts and souls is comfort but still strange to know part of our family foundation is gone.
Thank you for always being the kind soul, the loving holder of hands and the wealth of knowledge that you were to me and I am sure so many others.

Our condolences to Darshanand’s entire family. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family, may his soul RIP. My husband and Darsh worked together in Guyana and we met again in Canada and kept in touch.
