Obituary of Mr. Lee Voon Ah-Chong

Mr. Lee Voon Ah-Chong passed away peacefully on October 27, 2022 surrounded by his loved ones at the age of 96. He was a loving husband, father of eight, grandfather of sixteen, great grandfather of ten, and a friend to many. He was known to be a generous and kind man, who always took care of his family. The memories of him will always remain in our hearts.

Loving father of Joss (Fabienne), Therese (Charles), Patricia (Paul), Christine (James), Agnes (Richard), William (Cora), Virginie (Jean-Philippe) and Alan (Jackie). Proud grandfather of Jessie, Jeremy, Claudine, Noel, Stephanie, Natasha, Steven, Kimberley, John, Nicholas, Selina, Angelyn, Adam, Christine, Sean, and Justin. Great grandfather of Nathan, Julien, Sarah, Zachary, Mikaela, Lucas, Ethan, Alexandre, Caleb, and Reign.

A gentle soul, who could hurt nobody, he has been the rock and patriarch for the big umbrella of the Ah-Chong family, including his late brother's family in Mauritius. He taught this family how to grow in virtues by the way he lived, enduring all adversities and he finished his race well.

With a childlike, but unshakable faith, he always trusted in Divine providence to get through the rough times, and got his wish to live independently at home, with enough dignity, till the end. He always said that he could see the hands of God at every crossroad of his life.
