Obituary of Mr. Alvaro Fernandes

It is with our deepest regret we wish to inform you of the passing of Alvaro Fernandes(ex-Tanga) in hospital at the age of 71.

Alvaro is survived by his beloved wife Rufina and were married for 45 years. Loving and proud father of Taryn, Trevor/Jessica, and Terence.

Alvaro was a doting grandfather to Liam and Owen, his adorable grandchildren who loved and will miss him dearly. 

He was predeceased by his parents Ben Costa and Cristalina Fernandes, and sisters Alzira and Ethelvina.

Alvaro was brother to his dearest siblings Amancio/Veronica(Goa), Alba/Paul (USA), Avita/Avilino and Anthony/Maria.  

Born in Tanga, Tanzania on February 4, 1950, he will be sorely missed by his many nieces and nephews around the world, his extended family and will live in their hearts forever. .

In life, Alvaro was always ready to help anyone who needed his assistance, a humble man with a heart larger than life. He will be missed by all who knew him.
