To Kristine, Lesley, Michelle and Tracy and families: I was so very sad to hear of your Mom's passing. She and I were such good friends during our high school years. We shared lockers, school activities, double dates and a friendship that has lasted 55+ years. I could tell you stories that would make you smile and that had Sharon and I constantly giggling together. We were married a month apart and enjoyed early careers together as school secretaries. We had early play dates with our treasured little girls (which you won't remember) at the old house in Unionville. Your Grandmother and Great-Grandmother had such a gift for hospitality and always welcomed me warmly to their tables, and your Mom clearly learned well from them, given the posts here. Eventually life circumstances and changes as they come caused our circles to grow and take on different paths; however, the heart of our friendship never changed and when we would have an opportunity to meet, we would pick up just where we left off, the sign of a deep and lasting friendship. Your Mom was an amazing women and her pursuit of success did not come easily for women raised during the 50's and 60's. She was a woman of great substance and met with wonderful accomplishments in raising each of you while growing the Ogden Family business as she did. I sorrow with you in your sudden loss of Sharon but the memories of her kind heart and her deep love for each of you and your families will not be diminished by her passing. Whenever we chatted her pride and love held deep within her heart for her girls and was always clear to me.
The service was so well put together and the media visual told the story of her life beautifully. I have no doubt that again she would have been so very proud of you for putting all the pieces together while celebrating who she was during those moments in the chapel yesterday. I so wish I could have told her one more time how I treasured her friendship; and that I consider it to be one of life's great blessings, so instead I am telling you. She has indeed left you a legacy that will endure throughout your lives. My husband Harold and I share your loss and today we are praying God's peace and comfort will surround you, and that the memories of your Mom will bring you joy in your time of grief and sadness.
Warmly,
Kathy (Pickens) Ribble

I extend my sincere and heartfelt sympathy to all of Sharon's family. Her presence and guidance in the family and business will be acutely felt.
My father Rev. G.A. Beatty, was the minister at Knox United Church in Agincourt when Doug and Effie first opened Ogden's Funeral Home. They worked together on many funerals. Over the years the services of my family and many friends were held at Ogden's. It was at my sister-law's funeral in February, 2020 that my husband, Gib,, and I had a good visit with Sharon. Sadly, I lost my husband in February, 2021 and the arrangements were made at Ogden's. .
I have so many fond memories, too numerous to include here.. ,My thoughts and prayers are with Sharon's family as they mourn and cope with the loss of their mother, sister, relative and friends..

Rick and I have such fond memories of Sharon from cottage life on Lake of Bays. Her bright smile and huge laugh always made us feel welcome at the cottage or dock. I have great memories of Sharon and her whole family! She was a good friend of our family and we spent alot of time together at our cottages on Lake of Bays. Fun times were always on tap at the Ogden Cottage! I have fond memories of Sharon and my mom starting the dessert night that continued for years. My heartfelt thanks go to Sharon when my mom passed in 2000. Sharon was grieving her friend and yet she put all of that aside and too care of me, my family and especially my dad. I will never forget how Sharon and her family made that very difficult situation easier for us. My mom and Sharon were definitely diet coke buddies. I will miss her laugh as well. Rest easy Sharon. From their early days at Ogden's then Ogden's St.Clair then back to focusing solely on Agincourt, they both committed themselves fully to the continuation of Doug's dream. Their many years together brought 4 wonderful girls to adulthood where they are continuing their grandfathers dream.

Her mind was laser sharp, her commitment to providing the best in funeral service was always evident, and as was stated in her notice she always said it like it was.
As with her family, and the community, the funeral service profession has lost a one of a kind presence in our midst, but we are all the better for knowing her. May Sharon’s memory be for a blessing.
