Obituary of Mr. Carl Lykle deVries

It is with much sadness we announce that Carl died at home unexpectedly on January 7th, 2022.  Predeceased by loving parents Lykle and Florence de Vries, and survived by siblings Mark and Lisa (Nigel) and many long time friends and colleagues.  Carl will be remembered for his wonderful culinary skills, love of animals and being outdoors, and his playful spirit.  

A service will be held on Tuesday January 18th at 3pm at the Ogden Funeral Home, 4164 Sheppard Avenue East in Scarborough. Due to current restrictions, service attendance will be limited and there will be no reception afterwards. Please contact Lisa or the Ogden funeral home if you would like to attend.  All attendees must wear face masks and follow distancing protocols. 

Carl loved and rescued many pets throughout his life. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to a local animal shelter or wildlife centre.
