I am so sad and broken to hear about Carl's passing. Actually I had a feeling bc I was on Messenger Jan 6th with Carl and Jan. 7th the day he passed. I knew he wouldn't of not wished me a Happy Birthday on the 9th of Jan. I am his friend from Waterloo. We had a lot of hood times sitting out back of our apartment with a fire and good tunes, or standing on top of a building overlooking the city
. He was always so humble and modest and whenever I would say "Chef" Carl he would say no I'm a cook. He was a fantastic person and we loved eachother through the good and the bad. May you Rest In Peace my friend. Sending my condolances to all of his family and friends.
Love u Carl. Your with Hooligan now, your beloved cat. Xoxo

Rest easy my old friend! You shaped my years in Toronto finding friends, chef jobs and seeing great live music. Thank you for being you; supportive, funny, kind, and sometimes a pain. You will be dearly missed ❤

I'm profoundly saddened to learn of Carl's untimely passing and will cherish memories of an old friend. From our Beverly Tavern days & seeing countless live shows to our mutual passion for cooking & sharing ideas on the culinary scene – Carl was always kind, thoughtful and oftentimes hilarious. I'll miss you, buddy.

Carl was a true friend in every sense of the word. He showed incredilbe kindness to me when I first moved to Toronto. He went out of his way to include me and welcome me into his group of friends. I remember a conversation with mutual friend of ours back in Beverly Tavern days, "If ten people are looking to hurt you, Carl is the guy you want with you, because you know when you're with Carl it will be ten on two". I'm gonna miss you, pal.

Lisa, Mark and Nigel, I am so sad to hear of Carl's passing. We had many good times together and always kept me and the kids laughing and well fed, he made the best grilled cheese. He loved exploring Durham with Sid in tow and she enjoyed all their adventures together. We will miss him and have you guys in our thoughts.
