Warren and Ryan our deepest sympathy for the loss of your beloved dad. I met Winston when I joined the OPS and over the years we bonded when we discovered we had the same birthday. I was a recipient of his dry wit when one day at work I received a call and the voice on the other end quite seriously said “why are you at work?” I asked where are you, thinking he was on another floor when with emphasis he said “I do not work on my birthday. Have a wonderful day at work”. I never worked on my birthday again after that and we would race each other to see who would be the first to call to say happy birthday.
Winston I know you were sad to leave your family and friends but happy to be uniting with “Gina” so together you both can enjoy resting in the arms of your Lord. Eternal rest grant unto them O Lord and let perpetual light shine upon them.
I will always remember your mischievous smile. Rest in peace Winston. Desiree Canzius

Not sure where to start really, but here goes. My dear distant uncle, whom looked so much like my late beloved grandfather, (your father)! The resemblance cannot be explained more than being eerie. I wish I had the opportunity to speak to you more often, I will however cherish the few, but lengthy conversations we shared. I pray you transitioned peacefully, without pain, and your soul is now at peace. For those of us you left behind, we are old enough, to know, we all have an appointment with death, we will meet again, and gaff as we'd say in Guyanese terms. , Sleep in peace Uncle...
Here is hoping my the family and friends my uncle left behind, finds comfort in this brief poem. I truly believe in these words.
Those we love don't go away, they walk beside us everyday.
Unseen, unheard, but always near, so loved, so missed, so very dear.

Warren, Ryan and family.
Our deepest condolences to you during this sad time. Know that we are thinking of you..
Winston was respected by all who knew him. He was kind and generous to a fault.
He loved music especially Calypso and one of his favourites was King Sparrow. He loved sports - Tennis - he was the number fan of Serena and if my memory serves me correctly he and his buddies never missed a wrestling match down at Maple Leaf Gardens - his favourite was Sweet Daddy Sikki.
Winston had a keen sense of humour. You were not always certain if he were joking or being serious. I remember once our families attended a funeral for a man named Caesar. After many remarks praising the deceased, I turned to Winston and nodding agreement with everthing good that was being said about the deceased. He said to me "I do not know about the rest of you but I CAME TO BURY CAESAR, NOT TO PRAISE HIM " While the rest of us could hardly control the chuckle, he was standing there with a straight face (yeah, he put one over on us as usual)
Winston was a family man - he loved his 2 sons - talked about them a lot. He adored his late wife Regina.
I hope that everyone who knew him had the opportunity at some time to tell them how much they appreciated him. Finally, he has gone to meet HIS GINA. May his soul rest in peace.

So sorry for the loss of your Father. The Solomon's (Cecil, Zaniffa LaQuesta and Rick) extend our deepest condolences Aside from Mr. Hamer's Christmas Pepper pot, my favorite memory was while awaiting Warren before an event, Mr. Hamer and I debated whether Ivan Lendl and Bjorn Borg would have a competitive match versus Roger Federer or Rafael Nadal. True, Winston was happy discussing tennis, but he was truly proud when speaking about his boys, Warren and Ryan. I hope you find peace and comfort during this difficult time.
