Obituary of Mrs. Unette Harris

On Thursday November 4th, 2021, Unette Harris, loving wife and mother of five children suddenly passed away at age 82.

Unette was born January 16th, 1939 in St. George’s, Grenada to Ms. Olive Jones and Mr. Ossie Simon. She was the middle child of three sister, The Hon Dr Jean Augustine and Heather Jones. She later moved to Trinidad and Tobago where she met her then husband Clyde Harris. Together they had five kids: Herbert, Andeen, Raphael, Selwyn and Edwin.

Unette had a passion for travelling always willing to explore the world any chance she could. She was an avid music lover where she would embrace the Caribbean culture dancing to her calypso music. She was known for her quick wit, her infectious smile, and her kind and compassionate spirit.

She preceded by death of her husband Clyde as well as her youngest child Edwin and grand daughter Amber. This strong matriarch of the family has seven grandchildren, Desmond, Corey, Natalie, Teren, Amber, Shanice and Cody, and three great grand daughters Aliyah, Avayah and Aniyah. Also three beautiful nieces Valerie, Cheryl and Courtney. As well as two beautiful daughters in laws Deborah and Sharon. With many extended family members and close family friends that considered her a mother figure in their life.

Unette Lucy Harris will be truly missed!
