Dear Shirley: I'm so sorry to learn from the Toronto Star obituaries that your beloved Vic has died. Your intuition when we met a couple of months ago, that all was not well with him, proved correct, unfortunately. I will miss seeing Vic, even though it was typically only a couple of times a year - he was always so friendly and outgoing. It's easy to see why he had a successful career in Sales. I'm sure you miss him terribly. I hope you're able to focus on the happy memories you've built over so many years together, as a means of helping you cope with your grief. As a family, you, your kids and grandkids will all need to support one another in dealing with the loss of your loved one. That's what families are for!
