Deepest condolences to Tina, Maria, Stathi and families.
Since hearing the very sad news, it seemed the most appropriate way to honour Tom was to recall the many times and occasions spent with him going back over several decades. What a character! How could any of us forget that wonderful smile and greeting when you met Tom? There are many things to remember about him but suffice to say, it was a great privilege to have known Tom and his wonderful family, relatives and many dear friends and all those irreplaceable memories will be greatly treasured.
If the mark of a genuinely good person is that you feel better after spending time with them than before you met, then Tom is the greatest! He will be loved, cherished and remembered by all of us.

O Τάσος ήταν υπέροχο άτομο ατελείωτα υπομονετικός και ευγενικός με όλους. Είναι δύσκολο αυτή την λυπητερή μέρα να μην θυμηθώ την συμπαράσταση που έδειξε απέναντι σε μένα και στην οικογένεια μου. Τον κράτησα και τον κρατώ ψηλά στην καρδιά μου και με ευγνωμοσύνη. Όσο ζω ο Τάσος θα υπάρχει μέσα μου με μορφή γενναιοδωρίας και αγάπης. Με το θάνατό του, ο Τάσος αφήνει πίσω του μια κληρονομιά καλοσύνης, συμπόνιας και γενναιοδωρίας. Ήταν ένας σπουδαίος δάσκαλος και ένας αξιόπιστος φίλος. Οι συμβουλές και η καθοδήγησή του θα συνεχίσουν να με φέρνουν στις χαρές και τις προκλήσεις που έχει να προσφέρει η ζωή. Καλό σου ταξίδι και καλή αντάμωση.

I have known Tom for over 12 years now and have always appreciated the warm welcome he always gave me when our paths met yearly at the golf tournaments and at any other time that I would visit. Tom always took time from his busy schedule to take me out when I was in Toronto. I respected him greatly and will miss the bear hugs when visiting. Γεια σου Κύριε Τάσο Άρχοντα. Μας έμαθες τι σημαίνει η λέξη «αγάπη» στην πράξη και όχι στα λόγια. Ποτέ σου δεν έκρινες κανέναν και πάντα δικαιολογούσες τους άλλους. Το έζησα πολλές φορές. Το σπίτι σου ήταν πάντα ανοιχτό για γνωστούς αλλά και για ξένους. Στο δικό σου το σπίτι και στην δική σου την καρδιά όλοι χωρούσαν. Είχες την προθυμία να κάνεις τις ζωές των άλλων ανθρώπων καλύτερες είτε με τις άπειρες ευεργεσίες σου είτε με την φωτεινή σου παρουσία. Και το κατάφερες. Γι αυτό και τώρα που έφυγες, όσοι σε γνώρισαν έχουν στρέψει τον νου και τις καρδιές τους σε εσένα. Το γένος των ανθρώπων έγινε πιο φτωχό, όχι μόνο η Ελληνική παροικία, διότι άνθρωποι σαν κι εσένα υπάρχουν ελάχιστοι. Η υπομονή και το θάρρος σου τα τελευταία χρόνια ήταν και είναι άξια θαυμασμού και αυτά είναι ένδειξη του μεγαλείου της ψυχής σου, της αρχοντιάς και της λεβεντιάς σου που σε χαρακτηρίζουν. Θα σε θυμόμαστε για πάντα και κάθε φορά που θα κοιτώ την φωτογραφία σου θα χαμογελάω. Ο Θεός να αναπαύσει την όμορφη ψυχή σου μέσα στο φως Του και στην χαρά Του. Καλή αντάμωση!

Theo Taso had many qualities that made him a great person. Kindness, generousity and sincerity were just a few of them. I am honoured to have known him and to have been able to share many joyous occasions with him. He was, in many ways, a true legend in the business world who was able to accomplish so much in just one lifetime. Much more importantly, however, he was a living example of the Greek word "filotimos". He cared about and helped many people.

It is with great sadness that we learned of Tom's passing. He was one of the most humble, caring and loving person, who would accept a total stranger and offer any help, big or small. Even with his battle with cancer, he showed courage and never complained.
