I worked with Barry for many years and honestly, I can't remember many conversations that didn't end up centered on his family. He was so proud of them all. And when he told stories of family camping trips to Emily Park wow - he was in his happy place. We have lost a good man. My condolences to the family - praying for you all. God bless.

I was music director at Grace Anglican Church (and previously as it was known as the “Church of the Epiphany”) for many years until early 2016. It was one of the best worship centres in Ontario. I chatted with Barry who was a most active parishioner from time to time and he always acknowledged me whenever I passed by his pew - his good wishes were genuine and his sense of humour always sharp. That great smile and that look of determination, I will never forget. My sympathies and condolences to the family, and a special prayer to Bernice to welcome him to everlasting peace and happiness. Thank you for the memories Barry. Your family and friends will miss you as you were so well loved and appreciated. Indeed - you are free at last. God bless. Jim Pellegrini

Words can’t explain how devastating the loss of Barry is too many of us, but the one really important thing to remember is that Barry is finally at peace with the love of his life. Barry was a very generous, kind, hardworking and loving man. I remember the first time 8 years ago I met Barrie he was laying down in his room and Hannah introduced me to him and his smile alone spoke on behalf of the person he was. Barry always made sure everyone around him was okay when he weren’t at times, barry give people the world when his was falling apart and that’s what we all should remember Barry as. Love you forever and always may your soul rest easy

I had the pleasure of getting to know Barry through Hannah, and although I wasn’t one of his own when I was over he treated me like I was! Barry was extremely kind and compassionate, doing everything he could to aid the community around him! He also sure loved his fish n chips, (I cannot remember how many times I’d hear him call for Hannah to make him some but if I had a Nickel for every time I’d be rich!) his Diet Coke, church, his family and he will be so incredibly missed by everyone who’s life he’s touched. Thank you Barry for blessing us with the time you gave us, may you Rest In Peace!
