To the Ayoung Family,
My deepest condolences for your Loss.
Time cannot steal the treasures that we carry in our hearts.
Aunty Margaret was someone to admire. A Force of Nature, a Strong Woman, and who could deny her laughter and kindness which would always pull you in.
I can still hear her laugh so vividly. She had a kind Soul like all Ayoung’s, Sweet, Loving, Joyful and Full of Wise words.
One of my happy memories with Aunty Margaret was coming over for Dinner with my family. She cooked a delicious meal, of which we enjoyed ourselves. The fun always continued after dinner.
The Diva that she was, she showed me her Grand Shoe Collection and Handbags …...... I loved it.!!
Aunty Margaret will always and forever be in our Hearts and Memories.
With Love Always
Con Amor Siempre ….. Erika.

I have met aunty Margaret a hand full of times that I remember, but I will never forget those times. She brought me joy and happiness and always knew how to light up a room. I remember we went grocery shopping together and I carried all the bags from the store, to the car. After she rewarded me with a bag of popcorn and a drink. We went to Grenada and we were at the beach, she sat in a chair under a tree looking at the ocean. She watched the beauty of nature in all its forms, listening to the sound of the waves reaching the shore and the sound of laughter and happiness of her family. She had an amazing heart that was pure, putting others first and that is one of many reasons why I adore her. She will always be in my thoughts and I will always love her, as the rest of her family and friends.

A thank you letter addressed to my Aunty in Heaven..
For as far back as I can remember you were the Aunty that was always busy organizing events and helping those in need. As a child I remember volunteering under your guidance at Wellesely Hospital as one of Santa’s Elves and giving presents to all the children. I saw how much you cared for others, especially children.
Fast forward into my teenage years I had the opportunity to be a helper with your organization Changing Places – whether it was serving food, selling raffle tickets, or feeding the homeless, you put your nieces to work! You opened my eyes to the need within the community and you taught me how good it really was to give of not only money and possessions but of my time. Next up the Parang Show – what an event! Year after year you put on such a wonderful and sought after show that again you included me in. You always thought of me and no matter what capacity I helped in, I felt proud to represent YOU!
Now onto my adult years.. After heading off to college and then university, we lost touch. But once Jaiyah was born we were hanging out more than ever! LOL I think you liked her more than me!!! I remember telling you all my troubles and you helped me better myself. Your words of advice and jokes, oh the jokes, they got me through some of my toughest times. When I told you I wanted to go back to school you supported and encouraged me and even helped me with some of my papers! We did good Aunty, real good!
I remember you coming over after all of your trips with souveniers, stories and of course more jokes! We made plans to travel to the far east one day – Japan was at the top of our list.
Then came Grenada. What a great family event for us all to travel together and enjoy the beach and sun. We made so many memories on that trip. And in true Aunty style the jokes on vacation were next level! You made it a point to be at my wedding and I thank you so much for that.
Christmas 2020.. A month before Christmas we made plans. We texted and joked about Christmas presents and what we would eat.. Plans that you couldn’t fulfill, because well, God had other plans for you. I wish I could have held your hand one last time. I wish we could have said a proper goodbye. But like I said, God had other plans. You have been called home and I will never get to tell you thank you one last time.
Thank you Aunty for always believing in me..
Thank you Aunty for loving me in your own special way..
Thank you Aunty for being Granny Margaret to the kids..
Thank you Aunty for all the Sunday evening talks..
Thank you Aunty for always, always making me laugh..
Thank you Aunty for loving my family the way you did..
Thank you Aunty for showing us the value of hard work..
Thank you for being strong.. even as you took your last breath..
As I look down at my phone, I see my last message sent to you..
I wonder if you read it.. I hope you did..
I hope you knew how much I love you.. how much we all did..
Rest Well Aunty Margaret, Rest Well

Aunty Maggz,
There's been a huge void in my life since you left. I took the news so hard, I didn't want to accept it.
Didn't want to accept that one of the most major pillars of my support system had to go.
Aunty, you ALWAYS believed in me, even when i didn't believe in myself, when others put me down somehow you always saw the good.
Today I was up in the mountains, I was thinking of you and looked up in the sky, the big sun pulled through clouds and started shinning. Aunty Maggz, that's when I knew you were looking down, I felt your warmth.
Glad we got to go on our last trip to gernada together. You made us laugh so much, memories I'll think back and laugh non-stop!
Aunty, do you remember I pushed you to come by me to wash your car? Eventhough they were calling for rain? I wanted you to see me at my best, in my new home, to show you that I made it Aunty Maggz, all that support didn't go in vain, I owe much of my success to your continuous support and unconditional love.
I know your up there in your best eternal life, on a beach, dancing to your favorite songs!

I forever will be thankful to have had the opportunity to meet and get to know you.
The pleasure to share a trip with you in Greneda, your presence was filled with warmth and laughter, Robin and I to this day reminisce and laugh about the jokes you made on that trip.
I particularly adored watching the relationship Robin had with you, the teachings and values you taught him throughout the years and watching him use those teachings in his life, particularly when he had to make tough decisions.
We miss you but will use the memories we created to look back on to laugh & smile!
Love you

To my dearest Aunty Margaret,
I really miss you and all the fun times we had and all the jokes we share, and when I say that I mean all the jokes you shared cause you always had a story to tell. You were a very adventurist person and I always admired that about you, I always hoped I could travel with you cause you went everywhere and I loved all the little gifts you brought back for me. You meant the world to everyone in your life especially to me, you helped out with a lot of stuff and were involved with a lot of stuff and I know many people admired that from you. I remember the time when mom, Jarren, you and I went to Disney Land in Florida for Jarren's birthday and Jarren and I went outside and brought you back a lizard to cook and you said " o godo get that thing away from me" you should have seen the look on your face, you had me laughing so hard. that was probably my favorite memory of us being together cause we did so much and had lots of laughter together. When I heard that you passed, I couldn't believe it my heart just dropped. I didn't know what to do with myself, it just didn't feel real to me. Now I now that God took you upstairs to Heaven where he knows that you would be safer and happier and no longer feel any pain. So from that I know that I shouldn't be sad I should be happy that you aren't suffering anymore and although I miss you so much and I with you were hear with all your friends and family, you are in a better place now. This is not me saying goodbye this is my saying "HELLO". I love you Aunty Margret and I'll see you soon.

To my fabulous Godmother,
You were so good to me and my children. You opened my eyes to so many things. Things I probably would never have done in my lifetime. You took me to places with you and made sure I enjoyed life. We spend Carnival 2020 together in Trinidad and I will never forget that last trip. We played mas and had a grand time. I will surely miss those times but I now have a memories that I will never forget. Our little weekend getaways will always be remembered as well. Shopping trips to Detroit and Buffalo...just because. I will miss you very much. We look so much alike that we were always mistaken for one another eventhough we were years apart in age. We came to Canada together and we were very close, after leaving our big family in Trinidad. I was the eldest sister of the family and you were the seventh child of ten. You will be missed but you are free from all your pain and suffering. You will always be in my thoughts and we have a lifetime of memories.

We're so sorry that visiting restrictions prevent paying our respects in person.
On behalf of Sunnybrook's Department of Critical Care Medicine, Intensivists of Sunnybrook and Academic Clinicians' Management Services, I'd like to convey our condolences to her family and friends, for your considerable loss.
Margaret was the first and longest term employee of our intensive care physicians' service group upon its forming into a hospital department. She worked very closely with staff physicians, trainees and other employees in our group right from the start as we grew from something very small with her tireless assistance, complete dedication, good humour, thoughtfulness and zest for life.
It was a pleasure to have her with us along the way. This is a very sad time, and she will be missed and remembered fondly. Best wishes to all of you.

Legends Never Die, they continue to live on in our hearts forever. Auntie Margaret was a strong, funny, independent, ambitious person who made goals and reached them. She was a very inspiring woman. From being apart of Caribana to organizing parangs shows, Auntie showed me from a young age the importance of giving back and keeping our culture alive. She was one not to mess with, but had a heart of gold. I can hear that contagious laugh of hers in my head from time to time and that's how I know she's with me. I pray for all of her siblings in these trying times, may they get the comfort and closure they need in this hard moment of time.
And may Auntie Margaret finally rest peacefully in paradise.

To my sweet Maggie, I will miss you so, so much.
I am thankful for the memories of the many, many road trips that we made together by ourselves and with others. Will always remember the shopaholic that you were. Oh my, SHOPPING was your name, girl. Shop, shop, shop, endlessly. The car trunk was never big enough. You shopped for everyone in the family.
You were so kind-hearted, big-hearted. Always ready to help and give.
Carnival was your thing. You couldn't go to Trinidad Carnival without playing mas. We enjoyed Trinidad Panorama Prelims weekends in Trinidad together, then head back down to Trinidad in 2 weeks for the Carnival. Straight from work Friday evening, pick up suitcase at home, head to airport and that was the beginning of a hectic week, no sleep for 2 days. Tobago was a must on Ash Wednesday. We had to go to Store Bay to eat by Miss Jean, Pigeon Point, Buccoo Reef, Nylon Pool.
Such great, wonderful memories of you and with you.
Rest in Eternal Peace, my beloved sister.

Dear Aunty Margaret, this poem is for you:-
I thought I saw her face today
In the sparkle of the morning sun.
And then I heard the angel say,
"Her work on earth is done."
I thought I heard her voice today
Then laugh her hearty laugh.
And then I heard the angel say,
"There's peace, little one, at last."
I thought I felt her touch today
In the breeze that rustled by.
And then I heard the angel say,
"The spirit never dies."
I thought that she had left me
For the stars so far above.
And then I heard the angel say,
"She left you with her love."
I thought that I would miss her
And never find my way.
And then I heard the angel say,
"She's with you every day."
