Dear Karen and Suzanne, please accept my deepest condolences and sympathies on the passing of your father. I've known him since 2018 and I must say that he was a great man and such a love, caring and lovely person. I was shocked when I found out and I will miss him a lot. I will never forget that someone cared for me when my family was stranded overseas during the Covid-19 locked down. He would call me and ask me "how's my family doing". He had a beautiful soul filled with love, caring and affection. Rest in Peace Mr. Fernandes and may God fill your next journey with everything you had wished for, Amen.

Dear Karen and Suzanne,
Daniel and Ella, Ura and I were all very sad to get the news, and spent time today remembering how kind, gentle and strong Uncle Louis always was. Ura remembered how welcoming your dad was, when he was new to the family, and I told the kids about how he enjoyed the science and the creativity in his work as a chemist.
Although we grieve for your loss and for our loss, we know he is with God now and with Auntie France.
We have made a donation in his name to the Markham Stouffville Hospital Foundation.
Love and support from us,
Sarah, Ura, Daniel & Ella

Our heartfelt condolences Suzanne and Karen on the peaceful passing of your beloved dad.
He was a kind, humble, caring, generous and loving uncle to us who lived a good, productive and God-fearing Christian life. He was always willing to help anyone in need in whatever way he could with his caring support and prayers.
I remember a time when I was very sick with a kidney problem, your dad and mum came by immediately when called and started praying for me. Immediately I started experiencing the warmth and healing touch of God. I was blown away by this for sure. They prayed with a lot of faith and trust in the Lord which helped me feel better right away. Their prayers were very powerful indeed
which I will never forget. Your dad helped our families in so many ways and we were so blessed to have him in our lives. He was a beautiful soul inside and out and a man of action.
He was true to his word too.
Recently after your mum's passing, he reminded me that this was not our permanent home and we have to be ready. Who knew these words would come true for him so soon. He is now gone to his permanent home and in the loving arms of our Lord and Saviour and all his loved ones
We are very grateful for all your dad and mum did for us. He will be missed tremendously and remembered fondly.
We pray that God may grant both of you the strength and courage to bear this irreparable loss.
Yours in grief,
Lots of love, hugs and God's blessings
Thrasilla, John, Anne-Marie and Joshua

My sincere condolences Suzanne & Karen. Your Dad was godfather to Aunt Irene as well as myself. He took this responsibility seriously and let us know that he was there whenever we needed him. The fact that he was a continent away was not a hindrance. I recall he flew France to help out his mother and brother Noel, despite the fact fact that he had just arrived in Canada and was not yet settled with his own young family. It was through his efforts that I got a chance to visit Canada in 2004. His kind caring and generous nature knew no bounds if someone needed help, and where family was concerned, he’d go the extra mile. Uncle Louis was quiet, unassuming and a man of few words but would spring into action if his help was required. There are far too many examples of this to mention here.A god fearing man, he lived the Gospel and both he and his late wife Francesca instilled these qualities in his daughters who have grown up into kind, caring and sincere individuals. Karen & Suzanne I pray that Our Lord grants both of of you the strength and courage to bear this loss. Farewell Uncle Louis; till we meet again
