Obituary of Mr. Vedanthi Solomon

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Vedanthi Bunyan Solomon on December 1, 2020 at the age of 87.  Vedanthi was born on October 19,1933 in Chennai India to parents YM and Esther Solomon.  He was a loving brother to Selah Solomon (wife Padma) and the late Stephen Jayaraj; sister to Pauline Jebarethinam; uncle to Niranjan Solomon, Salomi Nirmala Kumari, Abishek Nirmala Kumari and Justus Rajkumar (wife Prameela Rajkumar); granduncle to Abishek Nirmala, Hannah Rajkumar and Felicia Rajkumar.  He is also remembered fondly by many close friends.

Vedanthi immigrated to Canada in 1966 and he worked at Sunnybrook Hospital before moving to Kingston where he worked for the provincial government. He returned back to Toronto following his retirement.  Vedanthi will be remembered for his love of life, family and friends; his pursuit of ongoing learning (and amazing grammar!); his enjoyment of travelling; his fondness for animals; and his propensity for a good debate.  He will be missed by many.
