Michael, Ian and Fiona:
My deepest sympathies to you on your loss.
I'm not sure if you would recall, but we use to play together as kids. My parents, Kenny and Wilma were quite close with your parents.
Life got in the way and things shifted, we stopped hanging out as much but then later on, my dad was invited to a Merchant Navy event near where I lived and we were all re-acquainted.
Your dad became a fixture at the Rangers Club and I think is favorite activity became finding someone to get him the most calorie laden donut or sweet available .
It might have been ten-year ago when I happened upon an exhibit at a library with a familiar name, It was your Dad's. He had is photography displayed at the Yorkville Library. As much as I was blown away to see it, he was as moved to see that someone had noticed his art. To him he had made it as an artist. All conversations following dealt with the question on how he produced his images. He never gave up his secret.
I'm happy to have Ian in my life. I'm happier yet to have a second chance to get to know him; he and your mother were/are great fiends to my parents. My dad lamented the weeks before Ian's passing that he was not able to see him or talk to him. I know that he misses him incredibly. The future holds a lot of no good not being done.
My wife and I run a program for adaptive sailing. One of our big pushes was to get your dad out sailing, experiencing the water the way he did growing up sadly that opportunity was put on hold because of COVID.
We would like to extend an invitation to her to sail; if there is any interest please contact my dad (Kenny) or Amanda at info@disabledsailingontario.com
Once again, I am so sorry for your loss, he was a great man and I will miss him dearly.
Regards,
Gregor

Hello Leslie,
Thank you for your prayers, kind words and virtual hugs. I've been hearing of lots of stories from the Dynevor bachelor pad over the last few weeks and how my parents met at that time. Sounded like wonderful friends and fun times.
Warm regards,

In loving memory of Ian
In tears, we are missing you.
In fond memories of you, we remember your love, generosity, creativity and amazing artistic flair.
John and I met you and Maureen in a lovey sunny day in June 2000 in Agincourt. Although I had a bit of challenge understanding your Scottish English, I was able to be your interpreter and helped complete a transaction:). That was the beginning of a long-term friendship worth cherishing for my whole life.
Thank you for the fun trips to Niagara falls and Woodbine Beach. You were an amazing photographer. Many beautiful photos were shared with family back home in Wuhan to ease their anxiety over our adventure in a strange land. The love from you and Maureen helped so much for us to gain ground in Canada. We felt so much at home with you when celebrating Thanksgiving and Christmas with you and your family.
I could not remember how many rides you had given us for church, groceries and many festivities. You not only made it possible for us to secure an apartment rent but also helped us move and gifted us with furniture, which included a beautiful lamp.
Hey Ian, did you remember the joy and smiles on my face when you gifted me a beautiful bike with the cute basket that I always wanted? Did you remember my folly when the meat lasagna only thawed after 2 hours in the oven because I took Fahrenheit as Celsius and you had to go to your evening shift without lunch?
Your deep love for James found full expression in the many weekend trips and many games you played with him. We used to joke how these trips had contributed to the mileage of your old Pontiac. Nina and Laura also enjoyed great time with you when we visited you and Maureen.
Your fatherly love for John will always live with him. Under your influence, he has also developed a deep love for photography. You are so handy that John the mechanical engineer has earned a lot from you to fix things in the house. Dear Ian, John is still using he toolbox you gifted!
We are also so impressed by your artistic talent beyond normal photography. We love the fantastic art pieces you created via Kaleidoscope. You are also a wonderful inventor. The smart walking cane ( that we said for which you should apply for patent) is now helping other patients suffering from Parkinson's disease.
We have so much to be grateful for, Ian. We love you! Rest in peace!
John and Sally
