As a member of the Leaside Garden Society I was able to get to know Dave and Bev through their many contributions to the work of the society. I even went out and purchased some mini roses after Dave did such an interesting talk on them! Please accept my sincere condolences and know that I am thinking of the family at this difficult time.

I was proud and will always be, of David and the effect he had on me throughout his life, being an older brother. He was older but did not make me feel that I was his younger brother. Even though it was longer, it still was not long enough. If I wanted advice, I would quite often ask David and he would always have a compassionate response. At Christmas and my birthday, David and Bev would phone me to wish me the best, and it was more than once that we met for coffee. I remember the family get togethers when we would all meet and socialize. I read on various websites of David’s many accomplishments, and who he was involved with. Of David’s many qualities, compassion was definitely one of them, especially when Wilma passed away. I will cherish the many wonderful memories I have of my brother, David.
May Bev and all the family know that my sympathy is with them all.
Love Robert

My dear Auntie Bev and cousin Don, I can’t begin to tell you how sorry I was to hear about Uncle David. I’m so thankful you have such an incredible support system to help you through such a difficult time. I will always remember his beautiful smile. I actually can’t remember a time when he wasn’t smiling and lighting up any room he entered. He lived life to it’s fullest and brought so much joy to so many people through his amazing talents and caring nature. Always hold on to all the wonderful memories you share. He will always be with you. I’m so thankful he was a part of our lives. Take care and know we are all thinking about you.

It has been our pleasure to have known Dave for over 25 years thru the Leaside Garden Society, participating in the annual plant sale, garden tours, and completions. The high lite of our year was volunteering along with Bev and Dave at the CNE. We especially enjoyed our nights out following the weeks of hard work. Dave was a true friend and gentleman .
Our sincere condolences to Bev and family.

Everyone who knew my uncle David will say he was a wonderful man not only for his astounding accomplishments but for his kind, gentle nature and wonderful sense of humour, that so many were drawn to.I remember as a child always looking forward to visiting him and my Auntie Bev as we knew it would be a fun time! Not only did my uncle consistently make us laugh, he would eagerly take me and my sisters( upon our request!) around his magnificent gardens and teach us all about his beautiful, beloved flowers. We loved it! I will never look at a rose without thinking of him. My condolences go to my Auntie Bev and cousin Don at this difficult time and also to all who knew and loved him. He will be sadly missed.

Dear Bev and Money family,
I was so sorry to hear about Dave's passing. He was a true gentleman and an 'institution' at the CNE.
Dave's decades of work on the CNE Garden Show competitions was invaluable.
It was always a pleasure to have a quick chat in the garden area, at the office or at an Association meeting.
When he decided to retire, he was missed.
Thank you for sharing Dave with the CNE!
Deepest condolences,
Sarah Fink

Don, my deepest condolences to you upon losing your Dad. I know how much you especially cherished your Sunday afternoons together over lunch and then discussing politics or cheering on a favourite sports team on tv with him. Though your heart is broken, know he thought the world of you and that love will remain with you always. Hold tightly to your favourite memories and know we're here to help you and Auntie Bev with whatever you may need. Hugs, LeeAnne

Uncle D, as I affectionately would call him let me hang off his sweater pocket from a very young age, teaching me about the ways of the world. The past several years we became even closer as he let his guard down (just a little) allowing me to help and do more as his health failed him. Those close times are what I will miss the most. Watching his stamina, determination and seeing each task to completion (no matter how long it took) is something I will always remember. His smile, his deep laugh and love for his family will remain in my heart forever. Give Dad a big hug for me, take Scooter back in as yours on your lap and know I've got Auntie Bev's back for you. Always and forever until we meet again, LeeAnne

Dear Auntie Bev, I was so sorry to hear of Uncle Dave’s passing. His kind and gracious demeanour will be missed - not to mention his Barney Rubble laugh! I have no doubt his Saviour has welcomed him with open arms but Dad (his brother Richard) was next in line with a huge hug and a coffee in hand to show him around! With much love.

Dear Bev and the Money family,
The CNE/ CNE Association family offers our deepest condolences on Dave's passing.
Dave's contributions to the CNE over 28 years (!) are countless as he worked tirelessly with the organization for so long as a CNE Association volunteer as a Member on the CNE Horticulture Committee, Director on the Board and as the CNE Flower and Vegetable Competition Show Coordinator.
Please find a photo of when Dave and Bev were honoured by the CNE Association Board of Directors in 2019 upon his 'retirement' from the CNE Garden Show program.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you in this time of grief,
The Canadian National Exhibition team, Board and Association

Deepest condolences to Bev, Don and the entire "Money" family and numerous others who had the pleasure of meeting and/or knowing Dave. Dave was very special to so many people; that sweet smile and twinkle in his eyes made you feel that he had a personal secret that made you want to get to know him better. His many talents and love of Mother Nature and all its benefits especially with gardens and gardening not to mention his deep and lasting Faith was certainly an inspiration to many. Dave will be truly missed by everyone. Rest in Peace dear friend. Truly well done you good and faithful servant!

I met Dave in 1999 the first time I entered the CNE. He was a true gentleman that day when I wanted to enter the flower show there wasn’t any room for my design, he said no problem and made room for me. I got best in show to my surprise and he had a smile from ear to ear. I have been competing ever since. He was a wonderful person and always had a smile ! He will be missed by many people. The CNE will not be the same without him. My Condolences to his family especially to Bev who is also an amazing person.

We will certainly miss Dave in the years to come. His smile and endless bounds of energy and devotion, especially evident at the CNE Flower and Horticultural shows, where you could find him every August into Labour Day, were always a welcome sight. His love of roses was also evident by the many blooms he grew and exhibited over the years at the CRS, CNE and the Greater Toronto Rose and Garden Society shows in past years. You have earned the time to rest after a life well lived.
