R.I.P Uncle Albert. I have so many fond memories of you growing up, you taught me how to properly play dominoes and I've saved every birthday card you have ever sent to me. I cherish our conversations and the role you've had in our family's life. I am truly happy that you were able to live such a truly happy and fruitful life and I hope to follow your example.
Thank you,
love always,
Mikayla

Although we only knew Albert for such a short time we were able to see how much joy he brought into the lives he touched. Andrew particularly took quite a shining to Albert when they first met - there was a way with children he had that came naturally. He will be dearly missed.

We feel blessed to have known Albert, though we wish it had been for longer. He was a rare man - kind, gentle, wise and funny. He leaves much joy and much loss behind in Mary Pat's life and many others.

Albert was a friend of the Pitters family for over 60 years. He was the best friend anyone could have; always there with a helping hand. He was a good listener whose advice was always welcome and treasured. We will miss his infectious laugh, his great conversation, gentle good spirit and sense of humour.
Rest in Peace dear friend.

Albert was a kind and warm man. He had a special light that lit up the room and made my aunt Mary Pat so happy. He will be terribly missed by the Bradbury family and my heart goes out to Mary Pat, Thomas, Rob, Sarah and their kids as well as all of Albert's friends in Jamaica and his very close friend Vince.

We, Miss Cassie's children, have known Albert all our lives as our older cousin. His mother Aunt Lyddy was the sister of our grandfather Uriah, father of our mom Miss Cassie. He was always dedicated and supportive of his now-deceased mom, maintained contact with our mom and all his family, and kept close contact with his friends in Jamaica. The family was always important to Albert and even though we often lived in different countries, we managed to stay in touch, visiting when possible but always connecting on the phone. Thankfully, we were altogether two years ago at our sisters’ birthday party in Canada.
As an older cousin, Albert was quite a role model and we were very proud of him. He was a teacher in Montego Bay and was also our great mentor and teacher. He migrated to Canada where he continued to influence and shape the lives of young people.
Albert was warm and full of life, He loved to socialize, entertain, and enjoyed dancing. His favorite cuisine was Jamaican and he toured the length and breadth of Jamaica whenever he visited. He made sure he planned carefully so that he visited as many of his friends as possible.
Albert lived a life that should be celebrated and we know that he would want us to remember the good times.
Another limb has fallen from our family tree but his memory will always be with us.
Our sincere condolences to Mary and family and Robert and family.

Time
Time passes as the river, running rippling by.
But unlike the river, it mutters not even a sigh.
Time flows like the river; but in silence it goes.
Time goes like the river; but it reaps as it flows.
To those who listen and to those who hear,
Be assured that as time passes, Our Time draws near.
So let us extend our love to those we know,
Especially to those we hold most dear.
For, surely, Our Time comes close, draws near.
Rest In Peace, Uncle Albert

We are very happy we were able to spend time with Albert and get to know him over these last years. We had a wonderful two week vacation in the Dominican Republic a few years ago with Albert, Mary Pat, our daughter and her family. I remember how he loved the heat (although he said the heat in Jamaca was better!), and looking out at the ocean. We spent many enjoyable hours sitting on the porch at the cottage laughing at Albert's stories of his experiences in Jamaca and in Canada. He loved spending time watching my grandchildren play, and listening intently to their stories. He was always a true gentleman who saw the best in everyone he met. Our whole family will miss him.

Uncle Albert, you have been a life long member of my family.
My Mom Norma and her parents knew you in the early days in Kingston, Jamaica. You were an educator, as they were.
They had an instant connection with you. As a matter of fact, all the Lawrence siblings welcomed you into their homes with open arms.
As my parents migrated to Kingston,ON in the 70s you provided the friendship and support all new comers need.
Many years later as we moved back to Canada the 90s you showed my siblings and I the value of family, friendship and constant support.
Mom has always had a friend in you. You were at almost every significant event / milestones. Birthdays, Weddings, Graduations, Christmas and Thanksgiving dinners.
You will remain near and dear to the hearts of my family (Mewas and Lawrences).
Love, Karen (Mewa Ramcharan)

My dear Uncle Albert was a kind and gently father-like figure in my life. He was always available for a chat and never hesitated to share a positive perspective on any matter. His wisdom on living your best life every day was shared verbally and fully demonstrated in the way he lived. As my "Give - A- Way" Father he walked me up the Aisle whispering kind encouragement which I will never forget. My family will always treasure Uncle Albert and the Grandfather role he played in Milan and Mikayla's life. We love you Uncle Albert.
Maureen, Michael, Milan and Mikayla.
