Obituary of Dr. Mary Ann Molinari
Celebrating the life of
Dr. Mary Ann Molinari
(nee Thibert)
Called home peacefully with family by her side on Friday December 21, 2018 at the age of 77. Beloved wife and best friend to Joe. Loving mother of Stewart (Annie), Lynne (Andrew) and Mike (Carolyn). Cherished meme to Nicole, Matthew, Jennifer and Christina; Thomas and Patrick; Jocelyn, Kyle and Kira. Dear daughter of Lucy and William Thibert. Dearest sister of Dr. Norman (Mary) Thibert and Bea (Maurice) Brisebois. Born and raised in Windsor Ontario, Mary Ann graduated from the University of Windsor. She taught French and later focused on raising her new family with Joe in Toronto.
Her deeply held faith lead her to complete her Doctorate in Ministry in 1984 from the University of Toronto. Mary Ann's Doctoral work was to develop a program in life spirituality called the Abundant Life Seminars: A Journey Towards Freedom in Christ.
In 1981, Mary Ann was appointed by Pope John Paul II to represent Canada on the Pontifical Council for the Laity for a five year term, with annual meetings at the Vatican. Mary Ann was also involved in the Charismatic Renewal at the federal level for a number of years. Later, Mary Ann fulfilled her growth by becoming a Definitive Member of the Secular Order of Discalced Carmelites.
Mary Ann loved her family and friends deeply and was always planning our next gathering with a wonderful meal to enjoy together. She would often be found in the backyard reading and enjoying her garden. She was fully engaged with those around her, making their priorities and concerns her priorities. She was a wonderful listener, a wonderful mother and she was our guiding light. She will be fondly remembered and sorely missed. We thank God for Mary Ann.
Our heartfelt thanks to you and North York General Hospital Staff for your many expressions of sympathy, support and acts of kindness on the loss of our dearest Mary Ann. In our sadness you brought us comfort
