My sincere condolence to Joe and family. I am so shocked and very sadden to hear about Mary.
I met Mary at the Discalced Carmelite Secular Order at St. Aiden's Parish we went to MaryLake together in 2012. Mary and Joe I hardly knew then but seeing them together they were always smiling and a warm welcome greeting or to offer help to anyone they saw was in need.
Let perpetual light shine upon Mary and may her soul rest in peace. I will pray for Joe and family during this time. God comfort you all. A friend, Kay

We will really Mary Ann's down-to-earth practical, yet wise counsel. She was a tower of strength and a real warrior of truth and prayer. Joy and faith in Jesus are hallmarks of her legacy. The Discalced Secular Carmelites have been left with a big hole where dear Mary Ann was. Now, she will be "spending her heaven doing good".

Dear Joe and family, please accept my sincere condolences on the passing of Mary Ann.
Almost 40 years ago in my search for a closer spiritual walk with the Lord I met you both.Life in the Spirit Seminar opened my life to the role of the Holy Spirit. Joe both you and Mary Ann helped to nurture me and led me to understand the love and meaning of “Abba Father.” I have always considered it’s as close as I would get to having Spiritual Mentors.
It was always a joy to meet you both,Mary Ann would have the biggest smile and always had words of encouragement when we met at daily Mass at St Barnabas.Over the years your constant prayers and encouragement as I fought the dreaded cancer was up lifting.
A year ago I attended a Mass at Carmel of the Infant Jesus in Zephyr,Mary Ann told me about the Carmelite Secular Order and the committed Prayer Life. She encouraged me to attend a meeting to find out if I would be interested and to pray about. The reason for posting this story is based on the great respect and admiration I have had from the days when I joined the Charismatic Prayer Group at St Bartholomew, up until the time of Mary Ann’s Passing. Thanks for the opportunity to reconnect and the quality time we spent with you both a few months ago.
The Hindi Poet: Rabindranath Togore (1861-1942 )wrote:
“Death is not extinguishing of the light, but blowing out of the candle, because the dawn has come. I have got my leave, bid me farewell my loved ones. The lamp that lit my corner is out. A summons have come and I am ready for my journey.”
Mary Ann ! You have now joined the angels of heaven. Till we meet again on the other side of the River . “Happy the man who is compassionate and thoughtful. His memory will be cherished for ever.”
We’ll miss you. “A beautiful soul is never forgotten. “
