Miss Conner and my mother, Mavis Hall, worked for several years together at Sir John A. MacDonald collegiate and they became dear friends. We were surprised to hear of her passing as mom and Elaine had spoke recently and she seemed well.
Elaine was a diligent, witty and determined educator, and I'm certain she helped many young people during her career.
Elaine and my mother shared a passion for music. She shared a fond memory of Elaine playing the organ at Roy Thomson Hall, rented as a surprise present from her friends and family.
She will be missed.
